The main command of Love :hearts:

16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this worlds goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him.

1 John 3

Let's look how the TRUE Christians live:angel::

(As Paul expressed it) "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvationicon_27.gif with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. DOicon_27.gificon_114.gif all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless icon_27.gifand harmlessicon_27.gif, children of God icon_27.gifwithout faulticon_27.gif in the midst of a crooked icon_120.gifand perverse generationicon_120.gif, among whom you shine as lightsicon_81.gif in the world" (Philippians 2:12-15).

In this way God raises the relationship we have with Him through Jesus Christ from obedience to love of all people and enemies. God commands us to have such level of righteousness icon_27.gif.

But if we repent of our selfish waysicon_120.gif that lead us into sin 010.gifand surrender our lives unconditionally to our heavenly Father, we can accept Christ's sacrifice for our sins and receive forgiveness. God then promises that we "may participate in the divine natureicon_27.gif and escape the corruptionicon_120.gif in the world caused by evil desires" (2 Peter:1:4).

How? Obeying Him!

1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ,

To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness icon_27.gifof our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godlinessicon_27.gif, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine natureicon_27.gif, having escaped the corruptionicon_120.gif that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter
