Hello everyone:

Shall we continue to look into 1 Corinthians chapter 13:4-8, in order to see what GOD Almighty says what love is,what love looks like, and how love is to behave.

Love is kind:

English-kind

Greek-chrsteuomai

Strong's Concordance

chrsteuomai: to be kind

Original Word: χρηστεύομαι

Part of Speech: Verb

Transliteration: chrsteuomai

Phonetic Spelling: (khraste-yoo'-om-ahee)

Short Definition: I am kind

Definition: I am kind (full of service to others), gentle.

We will see those which did not help others, but made their burdens heavier and would not lift

a finger to help.

Mat 23:1 Then Jesus spoke to the crowd and to His disciples,

Mat 23:2 saying, The scribes and the Pharisees have sat down on Moses' seat.

Mat 23:3 Then all things, whatever they tell you to keep, keep and do. But do not do according to their works, for they say, and do not do.

Mat 23:4 For they bind heavy and hard to bear burdens, and lay them on the shoulders of men, but they do not desire to move them with their finger.

Mat 23:5 And they do all their works to be seen by men. And they make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their robes.

Now let us look at what kindness looks like in the life of Joseph.

Gen 50:14 And after he buried his father, Joseph returned to Egypt, he and his brothers, and all those going up with him to bury his father.

Gen 50:15 And Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead. And they said, What if Joseph should bear a grudge against us and repaying should repay us all the evil which we did to him?

Gen 50:16 And they sent a message to Joseph, saying,

Gen 50:17 Your father commanded before his death, saying, So you shall say to Joseph, Please lift up now the rebellion of your brothers, and their sin; for they did evil to you. And now please lift up the rebellion of the servants of the God of your father. And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

Gen 50:18 His brothers also went and fell down before his face. And they said, Behold, we are your servants.

Gen 50:19 And Joseph said to them, Do not fear. For am I in the place of God?

Gen 50:20 And you, you intended evil against me, but God meant it for good, in order to make it as it is this day, to keep a great many people alive.

Gen 50:21 And now do not fear; I will nourish you and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spoke to their hearts.

Gen 50:22 And Joseph lived in Egypt, he and the house of his father. And Joseph lived a hundred and ten years.

Joseph did not seek revenge upon his brothers for having sold him into slavery.

Joseph would serve his family by providing for them while he would be living.

How are you with serving others and being useful to those which you do not like?

Blessings
