You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

 Psalm 91:5-6

History tells of a courageous Christian who was standing before one of the Roman emperors who was persecuting the church. The emperor was demanding that Christians abandon their faith, deny the Lord, and declare Caesar as Lord. But this Christian refused. So the emperor threatened, "Give up Christ, or I will banish you."

The Christian said, "You can't banish me from Christ, for He has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' "

The emperor said, "I will confiscate all your property."

The believer replied, "My treasures are laid up in heaven. You can't touch them." The emperor said, "I will kill you."

The Christian said, "I have been dead to the world in Christ for forty years. My life is hid with Christ in God. You can't touch it."

The emperor then turned to the rest of his court and said, "What can you do with such a fanatic?"

That so-called fanatic knew something about God's protection. And that is something we all should know about in these frightening times in which we are living. There are so many things we can be afraid of, from getting on a plane to becoming a victim of violent crime to being diagnosed with a life-threatening disease.

It is great to know that God promises, "A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you" (Psalm 91:7). It isn't over until it's over. Until that time, we can go out with boldness, knowing that God is in control of our lives.

Amen!

Wow, great and inspirational words. You may not know this Sis, but the Almighty touched and placed in you these great words on to people like myself.

It came in due time. He is always on time when we think him late. I receive it in Yeshua's name.

Itarala!

Hi Versavia:

Thank you for the subject ' To FEAR or not to fear' that is the question.

I find many of the 'christians' living in fear,i have talked with many and the fears seem to be the same.

The fear(s) which the 'christians' have in America are as follows:

1. Death;the christians fear death, yet Messiah conquered death by resurrecting from the grave, death is the last enemy to be rendered useless.

1Co_15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

2. 'christians' fear losing a job,Yet GOD Almighty has said He will provide all we need.

Php 4:19 And my God will fill your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

3. 'christians' fear losing material things, homes, cars, money and a host of ohter things, which might show that they are dwellers of this life and only have faith for the things contained in this life.

Luke _12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Yeshua told the disciples many times not to fear, why, when a person lives in fear they can be easily controlled and manipulated into saying and doing things they might not normally do.

FEAR is not FAITH,fear may also show forth the unbelief in the heart and mind of a person, and may show the person is not trusting Yeshua to save them from the wrath of GOD.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

1John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

1Jn_4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Remember Yeshua is completely FEARLESS, and the believers in Yehsua are to be as He is.

Mat 10:24 A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a slave above his lord.

Mat 10:25 It is enough for the disciple to become as his teacher, and the slave as his lord. If they called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?

Mat 10:26 Therefore, you should not fear them, for nothing is covered which will not be uncovered; and hidden, which will not be made known.

Blessings

Psalm 91verses 1 and 2this day and every day

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
