Why Porn

What�s up with Porn? Now that is a good question. Christians can ask why would God allow this evil to happen causing so many to stumble. Jesus was asked a similar question by His disciples when they asked WHY was this man born blind, John 9:2. Jesus answered that it was not because he sinned or that his parents had sinned. But it was so the power of God could be made manifest. I think this same principle can apply for the toxic nature porn can hold over men. For so many men God�s power is the only hope for deliverance. This is an intoxicating abomination of fornication.



�the great harlot that sits upon many waters:

2With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.� Rev 17:1b-2.



This power over men can be illustrated from the bible in Revelations (last days),

The woman riding the scarlet beast is called the great harlot. A harlot and/or prostitute uses seduction. And in this case seducing (demonic) spirits to capture the souls of men. The intoxicating effect of porn is very much like drunkenness taking control over man and deceiving him, Proverbs 20:1.



Jesus told His disciples He would make them fishers (catchers) of men. The harlot spirit, including Porn, is also seeking to become catchers of men. That is why porn is there, so that the power of God can defeat the power of satan. That is what Jesus did on the cross. And that is what we continue to do as fisher of men. The fish just seem to be caught out of a dirtier sea of pollution.



��with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever�� 1 Peter 4:11.
