Many people think that God has led them to a particular pronunciation for His Name.

Here is my request: Could you please tell me how He wants you to relate to those brethren, who received a different pronunciation than you? LOL Does God have so many variations of His HOLY name? LOL

God does NOT allow us to use His name in vain. It is a sin.

We can use His name only for educational purposes.

Moreover, He knows our supplications and prayers even BEFORE we would utter them.

And I believe that we should not pronounce His name because actually NO ONE knows today HOW it should be pronounced correctly.

Which name we all can pronounce? The name of His HOLY Son Jesus in Hebrew or in any other language because when we would call His name our God HEARS it and His name is "GOD HEARS".

Remember: If you call our God Jesus and His Father by other names (NOT such as we can read In Hebrew and in the Tanakh), DELIBERATELY changing letters because your leaders say it, HOW could you expect Him to answer to your prayers?!

Are your prayers in this case not what Muslims say?!

The God of Israel has DEFINITE names in HEBREW which could NOT be changed and should NOT be changed by any pronunciation!

Guys, let me illustrate you WHY this issue of pronunciation of God's names is VERY important:

One man said:

(1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of Yahweh: I speak this to your shame."

Which translation did this man use in English for 1Cor 15?

HOW does he dare to put this word "Yahweh" there?!

A WARNING of the SON of GOD:

A Warning!

18 For I (JESUS) testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone ADDS to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.Rev 22

When I speak in English I use the name Jesus for the Son of God because this name is used in your language and all people understand that I speak about Jesus. Even Jesus knows that.

When I speak in Arabic I can call Him by two names as it is written in Arabic Bible and the Quran: Yassua and "Isa.

Why do I use these names for the Son of God? Because I impact Arabs and they understand that I use the NAME of Jesus TRANSLATED into their native language. This is just a TRANSLATION. And they accept this translation.

I use translation of the name of Jesus in your English language because I speak in English. And it is quite REASONABLE. Just imagine me speaking in English using Arabic translation of His names!

So, if you would address to Jesus using FAKE words which are NOT His names in Hebrew then I would say that your call ANOTHER Jesus! He will think so too if you are a cult member.

That is why the God of Israel does NOT accept prayers of Muslims which are directed to other god called by OTHER names which are NOT in the Bible.

That is why the God of Israel does NOT accept prayers of people which are directed to other gods called by OTHER names which are NOT in the Bible.

His NAMES is UNIQUE and Jews do NOT prononce it.

I am a Jew and I CALL my God like my fathers in Israel.

I REJECT any "unauthrized" translation of His name like my fathers and brothers Jews do it in Israel.

Why? To avoid being a cult member or an idol worshiper of a god who does NOT have names of the God of Israel.

This is my point.

Versavia said "God does NOT allow us to use His name in vain. It is a sin." This is not an accurate quote and so many Christians say it and have no idea what they are talking about, including you.

Exo_20:7 "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." The Bible says "take" the name not "use" the name. Please get it right!!! This has nothing to do with how you speak!!!! This is about calling yourself one of God's and not behaving like it, that is not being adulterous to Him. The command is to the nation of Israel when they were wed to God.

Versavia, Are you a Jew and not aware of the Messianic movement? It is common for members of this group to replace the name Jesus with the name Yahweh.

I think you're a little over the top with your concern over this matter. If you believe that Jesus is God then it stands to reason that the names and attributes of God apply to Him. If you believe He is only a man then they probably don't. It might also depend on which version of Jesus you believe in.

I wonder why you don't pronounce Jesus name as Joshua since that is the correct pronunciation from the Hebrew. Once again you are ranting about something you don't seem to know very much about.

I do not belong to any "messianic" sect.

I am a Christian.

Try to reread your words recalling what I have just said.

"You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name."

The Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain- the Lord will punish severely!!!

See Leviticus 19:12, this is the THIRD command, and the reason enforcing it follows:

for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name is vain; will not look upon him as an innocent person, and treat him as such; will not acquit and discharge him as just and righteous; but on the contrary will consider him as a guilty person, a profaner of his name, and a transgressor of his law, and will condemn and punish him, if not in this world, yet in the world to come.

The Targum of Jonathan adds,"in the day of the great judgment;''see Malachi 3:5.

An act that causes God to come into disrespect or a commandment to be disobeyed is often referred to as "profanation" of the Name.

Because a name represents the reputation of the thing named, a name should be treated with the SAME respect as the thing's reputation. For this reason, God's Names, in all of their forms, shall be treated with enormous respect and reverence.

The correct pronunciation of the main name of God was lost, and we no longer know it with any certainty. We do not know what vowels were used that is why we do NOT pronounce this name anymore to void calling Him by WRONG name!

Why? To respect the God of Israel and do NOT utter madness created by sect and cult members because the God of Israel promised to PUNISH us severely for violation of the Third Command of God!

" You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain."

Even that is VERY CLEAR as everything what God said in the Bible.

But people as always do NOT want OBEY God and use His name how they want gathering God's wrath against them...

Once again, you will not listen and wrefuse to be teachable. You are misusing the Scripture and you are misunderstanding it's intent. You are making accusations again based on what you think or some preacher is teaching you and you are not interested in knowing the truth. You won't even do any research to see if I'm telling you the truth. Once again you fail to reflect the true nature of Jeesus with your hate talk and condemning speech. You will never convince anyone you believe in a loving Jesus if you continue to behave as if God hates everyone that agrees with you.

Your Jesus is a Jesus that is always on your side no matter what you say or believe because you think He approves of everything you say and believe. You need to get the kinder and more compassionate Jesus to hang out with you so you can learn to be like him!

And by the way I did not say you are Messianic. It's painfully obvious you are not but it wouldn't hurt you to educate yourself about them. I have many friends that are Messianic and I have worshiped with them and their movement has a variety of beliefs and some division but if you don't know anything about them then you have no right to criticizing them.

Ok I appreciate your point.

BUT if I am critical of what people do then it is ONLY in one case- when people VIOLATE what God says.

Why?

Because my God COMMANDED me to OBEY Him OBSERVING His commands!

My dear brother, our God commanded us to OBEY Him...Do you know is it?

That is why I am like an Orthodox Jew REJECT what people say to OBEY God.

Yes, I could be like all people. But God chose us that we would NOT obey people But ONLY HIM!
