Those in high church leadership with authority and responsibility should refrain from alcohol. Otherwise, I don't think temperate drinking would be a problem. Drunkenness is a HUGE problem though. Don't do that. And there is something to be said about the type of alcohol that should be imbibed, especially considering their effects, and also, that the alcohol available in Jesus's day is not anything like what is popular now. That's like comparing sports cars to horses.:toomuch:

Hi Luover:

There are some groups which condemn a person for having a drink, maybe a beer,or a glass of wine with a meal.

There is nothing in the Word of GOD which states that a person is condemned for drinking,it is in getting DRUNK where a person gets into trouble.

A person is condemned for not trusting Yeshua to be saving them from the wrath of GOD Almighty against their unbelief.

Ephesians 5:18

(YLT) and be not drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be filled in the Spirit.

1st Timothy :523

(LITV) No longer drink water, but use a little wine on account of your stomach and your frequent infirmities.

Shalom
