The Bride of Christ- Part 2

22 But you have come to Mount Zion (ISRAEL) and to the CITY of the living God, the HEAVENLY Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and CHURCH of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Hebrews 12

One interpretation sees the Heavenly City suspended above the earth like a space platform. Others see an earthly city. Still others a city suspended in the air that later descends to earth.

But it is a literal city representing God's redeemed people experiencing their final salvation, the city is a place of fellowship with God.

Now a question for you:

If the New Jerusalem is on our planet as we see it in the Bible verses above then how the Second Resurrection of the Dead will happen?

What will people do in the far future?

The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.

This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Rev 20

Revelation 20:12-13 identifies those comprising the Second Resurrection as the wicked and those, who do NOT inherit the Kingdom of God, judged by God at the great White Throne Judgment prior to being cast into the Lake of Fire.

The event which divides the First and Second resurrections seems to be the Millennial Kingdom. The last of the righteous are raised to reign "with Christ a thousand years" (Revelation 20:4), but the "rest of the dead [that is, the wicked] lived not again until the thousand years were finished" (Revelation 20:5).

But the "rest of the dead [that is, the wicked] lived not again until the thousand years were finished" (Revelation 20:5)....

What does it mean?

Let me remind you that unbelievers will live on earth too during the Millenium Reign of Christ and they will start the World War 4 (Rev 20).

Satanic Rebellion Crushed

7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Revelation 20

Is the event of defeat of Armies which will attack Jerusalem is called as the "Second Resurrection"? Most probably yes. But who knows.....

We can only speculate and meditate on the Holy Scripture...

but God knows the answer to this question...

One more issue for you to meditate on:

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. Rev 22

This verse says that after the World War 4, Christians will dwell in the city Jerusalem and OUTSIDE are "dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie".

Does it mean that other people (unbelievers) who did not die during the World War 4 will be alive on our planet too?

Most probably yes. But AGAIN: this is ONLY my SPECULATION because I do not know what God knows. I do not know but only suggest meditating on the words of God.

*** CORRECTION:

This verse says that after the World War 4, Christians will dwell in the city Jerusalem and OUTSIDE are "dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie". Right?

Ok if my pic is correct then what will be in the far future?

I thought that the Holy Scripture gave us answers to this question describing the future events....

But I fail to see our far future in the Scripture except what is described in the New Jerusalem...

May be you see it?
