10 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
Christs Death Fulfills Gods Will
5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, Behold, I have come
In the volume of the book it is written of Me
To do Your will, O God.[a]
8 Previously saying, Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.[b] He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Christs Death Perfects the Sanctified
11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,[c] 17 then He adds, Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.[d] 18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
Hold Fast Your Confession
19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
The Just Live by Faith
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,[e] says the Lord.[f] And again, The Lord will judge His people.[g] 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: 33 partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; 34 for you had compassion on me[h] in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.[i] 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
37 For yet a little while, And He[j] who is coming will come and will not tarry. 38 Now the[k] just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.[l]
39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

Because there is been a changing of the priesthood there has been a change in the law.
At the end of Hebrews chapter 5 where the author chides "teachers who still need to be taught" because they could only drink milk, is in reference to the time during feast days when the Jews would read the law. Those who were in bondage to a literal interpretation of the law were only allowed to consume dairy products, because their literal interpretation of the law did not allow to consume meat at the same time they concumed dairy products. However, Biblical meat" seen in the "meat offerings" that are being spoken of here that we are required to bring in as tithes (Mal.3:10) to get "blessings we will not have room to receive, as required in the in the law did not contain any flesh. Consequently it is only through the allegorical use of this law that allows us to see the praise coming from our lips in our worship is always be without any flesh".
Because Christians do not study the law every, Sunday they are bombarded and abused by clueless pastors who use this verse to shakedown their flock for money by telling them false promises of huge blessings for paying their tithes.......... how repugnant.
For those who think the law is irrelevant consider this,
1. The tree of life is the Torah and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil as commonly taught by "teachers who still need to be taught"
2. Consider the words of Jesus concerning those who teach the law correctly versus those who do not.
Matt.5: 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Because the church has a strong disdain for the law, (other than those who use it to condemn and abuse others in a form of legalism that brings condemnation to all) the blessings within the law are never realized by the church.
Paul said he believed in all things taught by the law and the words of the prophets, for within the law are the keys that unlock the mysteries through revealing the knowledge of the truth as found in the foundational doctrines of Christ (Hebrews 6:12)
Without the true knowledge of things like the resurrection and eternal judgment no one is getting moved in the fullness of Christ being formed in us.
There are those who have attained this level of being completely sanctified. I know because I met one in an ambulance after I had already been declared dead following a car accident. I will try to get this account posted today God willing.
Because the church has a strong disdain for the law, (other than those who use it to condemn and abuse others in a form of legalism that brings condemnation to all) the blessings within the law are never realized by the church.
Ya...I've come across these types of churches in my travels...that's why I consider my self to be blessed to have been lead to and now attending a very focused "Church"...
Why is it necessary to generalize about churches 'disdaining the law'? There are good and bad (wheat and tares) in every denomination. When humans are involved there will be differences...that's why everyone should read and study for themselves.
My forefathers sacrificed their lives to translate the Word into English so,that the 'commoners' could read the precious Words. There are many who are working to translate the Word into other languages to reach people in their native tongue.
The Holy Spirit still works through even passages of the Word.
WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!
Galatians 2:14-16,20,21; 3:2,5,10-13;23-25: Paul said, When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' know that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.!"
Galatians 2:20,21: The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
Galatians 3:10-13: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us!
Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, *WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!"
Hebrews 7:18,19: The former regulation is SET ASIDE because it was weak and useless; for the law made nothing perfect, and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.!
Hebrews 8:8,9,13: "The time is coming." says the Lord, "when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah".... By calling this Covenant "NEW", He has made the first one OBSOLETE; and what is OBSOLETE and aging will soon disappear."
Hebrews 8:6: But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is Mediator is SUPERIOR TO THE OLD ONE, and it is founded on better promises.
Colossians 2:16,17: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you **EAT** or drink, or with regard to a religous festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a *SHADOW* of the things that were to come, the reality, however, is found in Christ!!!
All of the OT sabbath laws have been eliminated. Both Jesus and His Father have declared all foods are now clean. All of the OT sacrifical and temple laws have been eliminated. All of the stoning to death laws for breaking the law have been eliminated. All of the laws concerning an eye for an eye and making oaths have been eliminated. Circumcision laws have been eliminated. Loving one another as Jesus loved us has replaced loving one another as you love yourself.
Their about 400 NT laws to be obeyed with *LOVE* in the hope of countless eternal rewards for faithful and loving service has replaced the 613 OT laws.
Because the church disdains the laws of God the keys needed to unlock the mysteries spoken of in the NT are never obtained.
If the church does not study the law and the words of the prophets the same as Paul did, and study in the same manner Paul did as I have laid out in the thread "How to," the church will never learn the truths behind the foundational doctrines listed in Heb.6:1-2.
Jesus commands us to come out of Babylon and the example we have of those who came out of Babylon tells us they first built a wall separating their way of life and worship from others. When it came time to read the law on the High Sabath feast day it says for the first time they heard the law "with understanding". (And not just because they never heard it spoken in their language before then. )
There is no "understanding" needed to comprehend a list of do's and don'ts but there is understanding needed for how the law can be fulfilled SPIRITUALLY in you that allows the fullness of Christ to be formed in you that is your high calling !!!
This is why Jesus said those who learn the truth in he law and teach it in truth to others will be called great in his kingdom, while those who say otherwise will be called least in the kingdom.
Going against the words of Jesus by continually harping we are not under the supervision law is not learning or teaching the truth but is the fulfillment of the prophecy of teachers who still need to be taught
Learning the law properly starts with learning "HOW TO" study the Bible . "God's Way" by using His laws for instructions on how to study the Bible, and not through the traditions of men as 99% of the church leadership does today causing the truth to fly so far over their head they never even see it go by them
There is a reason why God said "my people perish for the lack of knowledge" and why I continue to say "when the truth returns to the church so will miracles return to the church".
Does your church teach the deep things the law or do they just treat it as a list of do's and don'ts?
I have yet to see ANY church study the scriptures and teach the law according to how God tells us to........ and I have been to a lot of churches as well as check out many more online
There is a reason Jesus said to learn the law, and those who do and teach it will be great in his kingdom.
"Precept upon precept" (law upon law because two laws must be fulfilled before a doctrine can be proven to be clean and suitable spiritual food for the edification of God's children) is part of the Law as repeated by the prophet Isaiah (chap 28) for who will learn knowledge......... those who do not learn how to do so as I have laid out in the thread "How to" will not only never get past drinking milk........ they will be snared by the devil. (and those are the words of Isaiah)
The worst "dumbing down' of the church is because they disdain the law and therefore they study the Bible as if it is nothing more than a high school text book through their cry of "never to take out of context or you're understanding may become perverted"
Yes, every church I have been a regular part of teaches the law, in depth along with every other aspect of the Bible.
The churches I have been a part of over the past 15 years almost exclusively use the Bible for all it's classes and activities...meaning we don't use denominational literature for Sunday School and other church classes. It's not that we don't agree with it, but prefer to focus on the specific teachings of the Bible, the Word of God, encouraging everyone to read it for themselves, not just hear a verse or 2 in a sermon.
I agree there are many 'churches' that don't focus on many of the Bible teachings...but using the term 'church' in the blanket way you do is inappropriate.
If this is so then please send me a link to said church via private msg
If the law is taught properly all other things fall in line and there will be signs and wonders being done by God in an assembly gathered together worshiping God through His Son Jesus Christ
Until then my use of the word "church" as I have used it remains highly appropriate.
As I have said many time God does not change, and the same God who worked miracles through the first century church will work them though a church today IF THEY ARE WORSHIPPING IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH !
On the other hand if there are no "signs following" far beyond what may or may not be from God when unintelligible sounds are being heard within a church worship service, there is a reason why not.
I am not advocating a dog and pony show like what we see on TV ministries. However, the truth is a person stricken with a serious disease should be able to go to their elders to be anointed with oil and prayed over with a reasonable expectation (based on the history of miracles being done in said church) of God answering their prayer with a healing miracle for the person needing it. (aka the healing done outside of any modern day medical treatment)
The words below still hold true today and if is not happening the fault lies within the church in question
James 5: 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
The above is the litmus test......... show me a church anywhere in the continental US that can do this, and I will do more then take back my words........ I will pack up and move to where this church is.
