Posted : 30 Sep, 2013 06:42 PM I was talking with my boss today and we were talking about our children. She was telling how her teenage son won�t stay off the porn sights. And she said something very interesting� �That�s what boys do�� I told her the story of how when my son was 16 (now 20) he looked at porn but I handled it from a messianic prospective. I told him that porn is against G-d; His ways and Laws. We are to only have sex when we are married and only with our spouse. These people are in bondage and in slavery to sin. We prayed together for G-d to forgive him for his sin of looking at the porn and we prayed for those in the porn to be set free and to come to know Y-shua as Lord. That night a seed of righteousness was planted in my son and he battled the temptation for a while. But when he was tempted he would come to me and we would pray together. Now it�s not even an issue in his life anymore. Do we really see it for what it is or is it just what boys/girls do? I have talked to a lot of people and I hear everything from �I�m not hurting no body� to �I�m not sinning I�m not having sex�� I remember when I was talking to my best friend�s husband who looks at porn and yes they fight over it� I asked him (a Christian) when was the last time you laid hands on the screen and prayed for the freedom and salvation of those people�. You know he didn�t have an answer�. Post Reply

It is more and more difficult to avoid it but that doesn't make it acceptable. Glad you were able to talk with your son and help him overcome the desire. If only more parents would take a stand... You know he didn�t have an answer�. *** They never do have a answer...they cant even explain why they do it...and they don't realize the damage it does to the relationship weather it be a marriage or courtship or friendship...I don't judge a man for it...However I would be inclined to say...I wonder what Yahshua would think about that ?...and leave it at that...and I wouldn't conceder dating him...:laugh:... Posted : 1 Oct, 2013 02:22 AM My family has been destroyed by porn, it is a terrible thing to be addicted to anything, but satan has hit my family hard with this particular sin. Shame on the men of the church if they know some man of the church who has a addiction and does not come along side a brother and hold him accountable for his walk with God. and the same goes for the women who know a woman who is struggling with a particular sin not to come alongside one and help them as brothers and sisters should be. It is sad to see in a lot of churches it is much easier to just condemn than it is to come along side a brother or sister and bear each others burdens. Post Reply

I beleve it all stems from the lack of conclict resolution and the lack of understanding of intimacy which are the same. In pornography their is a experience of intimacy in fantasy without the risk of rejection. The fear of rejection is the root of the lack of conflict resolution and in fear is issolation. In issolation is self alone. In issolation is the lack of accountability and that is why no answer dues to fear and issolation. It is the same thing we see from the very beginning of creation. In Christ all conflict is resolved and in perfect Love casts out all fear that we then can be open and vaulnerable to receive rejection if needed and correction if needed because we have a place of redemption. Our holly lives start with the inner man and is evident with the outer man. Pornography is just one of the evidence of a poor spiritual condition. Along with gluttony, pharmacia, drunkeness,,,,,,etc Even romance novels and soap's. The inner man is bankrupt without Christ and the Love of God and searchs for ways to fulfill especially male female relationships according to adultries and fornications. Post Reply

Look at the RCC. They grossly pervert the Word of God and God has caused them to be turned over to homosexuality in their "priesthood". Read Romans 1. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Do you want to know why porn is such a problem with "Christian" men? Because they are committing fornication in their hearts against God and God is giving them up to fornication in their outward lives to evidence this. He is showing them and those around them their inward condition. THEY ARE FORNICATORS AGAINST GOD - That is they are IDOLATORS! They are WORSHIPPERS of FALSE gods. Post Reply

It might be what "boys" and "girls" do, but it is not what God wants us to do, and THAT is the standard, NOT our lustful fleshy instincts.
