Luke 17:25 "But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26"And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

I've seen the rush, the urge..i have it too and i'm sure most yearn and ask God for it..maybe that is what brought many people here..i don't know. I wonder still, why is there this urge to hook up/date/marry..find 'the one'..so strong now as was in the days of Noah as quoted or implied above?

Ok, even if it's not there, why is there this urge so strong almost in every place?

I hope i can get some light on this issue

Thanks and God bless

Your passage in Luke refers to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in Jerusalem in A.D. 70 - that was the generation referred to in the passage. Jesus is telling them that the destruction will come upon them just like it did in the days of Noah. They will be busy with the normal concerns of life eating, drinking, marrying, etc. without being aware of their pending judgement. This passage is not speaking of any urgency to marry.

Setting that aside, the desire to marry is God given. The "urgency" that you speak of is usually due to impatience.

I hope this helps answer your question.
