A beautiful proverb...

I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow human being let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

Thankyou for sharing this,

You really have to laugh if you think about it. How twisted our minds really are even when our motives are pure.

let me give you an example: Parenting is a tough job and their comes a time for some parents that they love and care for their children way to much that they smother their children out of their own fear.

Because they love their children combined with their inner fear of the world around them they become the very destructive thing they dread.

I have seen this with the last church i was member of. One of their children works with me and his spirit is so crushed inside of him.

Out of their fear they want to protect and as their fear grows they need to place more and more restrictions on their lives. More boundries until thier are just walls.

These walls block out the beauty of learning how to live for God even in failure and trials. They miss that trials are actually a good thing in their childrens lives.

We know in James he writes that these trials are for the purpose to complete us that we will be lacking nothing.

I believe the same goes on with us believers. Our inner fears combined with out love for our felllow believer would cause us to place restrictions on others. Mostly the fear of comdemnation by God.

We are told in the Gospel of john that we are comdemned already when we do not believe the only Son of God. But those of us who believe are not comdemned.

This is my kind word to all today. In Christ you are not comdemned and need not fear the fire of hell.

If we complained less and were more thankful, we would be joyous Christians, and God would be more glorified through our words and works! Every day we must thank God for the ordinary mercies that we receive from His generous hand; for although we deserve nothing, God provides us with abundance!
