I am not sure I understand what you are asking. What do you mean by the visible church view as compared to the invisible church view?

Blessings,

hi T,

I think what your friends are referencing to is the visible church as we see it today, our local church which is the body of Christ which got its beginnings on the Day of Pentecost, God himself established. The New Testament church. The body of local believers. the Book of Acts tells us about the church's birth. This is the visible church of Christ, we believers.

The envisible churh is that church Christ will setup and establish when He returns back to earth to reign forever more... His kingdom. This will be the future church, thought we do not see it now clearly, we do know it will be gatheredtogether as one chruch under Christ, no denominations except Christ with those who believer in Him. Revelation speak to this future church Christ Himself will setup... This is the envisble church of Christ that is to come.

The local church is the bride of Jesus Christ, that has been saved and sanctified by Christ for the fellowshipping of all believers in one accord, one mind, and one Spirit, as Christ is the head of the church wich is His bride, and upon Hi return He will come for His bride (the church who are called the body of beleivers)

Hope this helps...

ella.

LOL. Ella, I am with you on the edit button. I don't know how many times I have written what I thought was a great answer to something, only to post it and look illiterate. I pray they hurry. There is a desperate need.

Blessings,

Leon

Ok, I got some clarification.

The Visable Church View is that not all churches are true churches. Some are groups, clubs, or societies.

The Invisable Church View is that all the saved are in an imaginary universal church.

What do yall think?

T,

I agree with both statements. There are many churches out there that are only meeting places, or that teach such a false doctrine that salvation is never achievable.

And yes, every believer is a part of the universal church, regardless of denomination. We are the church in the larger sense that a church is made up of true believers. A church building is just where we choose to meet for fellowship and instruction.

That is actually the title of one of my sermons. We run to the church, when we should be out being the church.

Love and grace,

Leon

..."we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." 2Cor. 4:18.

While I hesitate to Judge what is a "True Christian" there are some that are called cults because they claim the name of Christ but do not hold to His teachings. But generally if they claim to be Christian we can give them the benifit of the doubt. At least until judgement day.

But unseen things are Spiritual things. It is possible to have natural eyes and be unable to see Spiritually. We should have both.
