Posted : 10 Aug, 2012 08:05 PM Yes, we have the ability, but If you�re going where I think you are going with this question, the answer is we do not have the right. Jeremiah and King David have told us that (we, all humans are created by G-d). However there are some that have cursed the day of their conception (Job, Jeremiah�lol). I was 21 when I got pregnant with my son. I never married the father, in fact, we broke up and my son is autistic. He is now 20 years old. But when I talk to G-d about my son, Jacob, He reminds me of when He said in Deuteronomy� �Is it not I who made the death and the mute�. And I know my son was perfectly and wonderfully created in my womb and He is G-ds responsibility (ultimately) and I rest in Him. Post Reply

Both Jonah and Moses were CHOSEN by God - both willfully disobeyed God, Jonah clearly by CHOICE - also known as free will Post Reply

I chose to obey or not obey my parents who taught me the fundamentals of the Bible. I chose not to steal or to lie...sometimes I chose to do those things. Because I understood the consequences of those choices, I learned to obey my parents. Because I learned what sin is in God's eyes, learned the punishment for sin, and learned that I could not pay that penalty own my own...even if I obeyed all of God's laws, I learned that when Jesus died on the cross He paid mt death penalty (my punishment for sin), then I asked Him to forgive me of my sins and cleanse me from my unrighteousness, and He did it. I did not save my self. I was receptive to the teaching and preaching of God's Word and understood that I needed a Saviour. I've asked on other threads...and am still waiting for an answer...how do you know that you are saved? �How do you know that you are 'elected'? This a fundamental question. Post Reply
