Hierarchy of Sin: Fact or FakedPosted : 9 Aug, 2012 05:18 PMThroughout my short time on this Earth, I've been introduced to many Christians who feel as if there is a "hierarchy of sin" and Christians who feel as if there is no such thing but that there are difference consequences for each sin (they also give exceptions such as blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as it is said to be unforgivable). |

Hierarchy of Sin: Fact or FakedPosted : 10 Aug, 2012 08:26 PMWe know there is by studying Torah. Every law came with a different penalty. Some was ceremonial washing and being sent out from the community for a period of time while others were the death penalty, being stone to death... all of it was sin in a different degree. |

Hierarchy of Sin: Fact or FakedPosted : 11 Aug, 2012 12:13 PMI understand that but couldn't one argue that penalty is the result of the consequence and not of the severity of the sin? |

Hierarchy of Sin: Fact or FakedPosted : 12 Aug, 2012 07:37 PMAll sin, no matter how big or small, is punishable by death, eternal separation from God in a literal (real) lake of fire unless an individual accepts God's gift of eternal life - accepts Christ's death on the cross as the substitutionary death for his/her sins. |
