3/1/09 Pastor Joey's sermon..The Master's Plan Matt 10:1-5



Jesus had a stategy to change the world. He sent out his twelve disciples AFTER he called them.



1) Jesus Calls Them to Himself:

When he calls us, he calls us to have a relationship with Him. He got plans for us and for the disciples - People. God plays no favorites. He calls ALL His children to Himself. He gives us instructions, training like he did the disciples. At times our Heavenly Father will discipline us. He allows us to suffer the consequences of our actions by not rescuing us from our messes right away.

God and Jesus want us to learn and know His Voice. The Lord wants us to have a intimate relationship with Him. John 10:3-4 The sheep follow the Shepherd cause they know His voice. How well do you know the voice of the Father?? Its thru reading the Word of God that we know His voice.

Make it a goal in your life to move up the scale to knowing God's voice better.



2) Jesus Gives Us Authority:

God places in our lives the desire for authority for a reason. He gave man the authority over evil spirits, demons and the earth. We get this authority by being under God's authority. He will give us authority to reign and rule in our lives. Authority over:

finances....sins....worry.....our job....our marriages.....school..etc

When we allow Jesus to reign/rule in our life, we can tell Satan to "hit the road"! Jesus gave the disciples authority to reign and rule over demons. Where are we struggling to have authority in our life?? We need to go to God and ask him to help us in this area to have Authority and Victory!

vs 5 Jesus sent the disciples out and he does the same with us. He sends us out to show His love everywhere we go. We should show the love of God in our lives to people in our neighborhoods, school, jobs...the market place. This is JUST as important as sending missionaries to China. Do you feel sent by God??



3) Jesus Sends Us Out with Instructions: Matt 10:16-28

He is with us and will protect us. Jesus had a plan then and has a plan NOW for what he wants us to do.

Jesus says to HAVE NO FEAR!! He is WITH US!!
