I haven't been on this site too often lately. I've been kind of busy! Anyways, I had a thought tonight and I wanted to share it and see what others thought.
So, I have had a few reoccurring dreams recently and unfortunately, they are not the kind that leave you warm and fuzzy inside. Which left me with the following question:
Is it okay to try and interpret your dreams or have someone else do it for you?
I know that God spoke to a variety of people in the Bible through their dreams. However, although I do not believe that God is attempting to communicate with me through these dreams it left me wondering if there was some meaning behind them and if it would be okay for me to try and get them interpreted.
Yes of course dreams are often from Yahweh, especially when they are recurring, & seem significant...even the ones that arent warm & fuzzy. I would consider it a gift; but I dont remember my own dreams very often at all..maybe a couple per year. On the other hand some of my greatest revelations have come from the interpretation of other peoples dreams & visions. I could give you a lot of scriptural references, for the ways that Yahweh has used dreams in the past..& promises of how he will reveal things to Us Even Today through our dreams, but you could find the references much easier yourself with a concordance.
At any rate, I love to interpret dreams...So bring them on Julio, you never know what message or revelation Yahweh may be trying to convey to his People through your dreams.
You obviously have something or he wouldn't have put it in your heart to be here sharing huh?
Hi, I wanted to add that just because your dream didn't leave you feeling warm and fuzzy doesn't mean it wasn't from God.I prayed one night before going to bed for God to give me a dream or a vision and help me remember it and He answered my prayer and gave me a dream, and it didn't leave me feeling warm and fuzzy, yet I know it was from Him.He shows us what He wants us to see.
To be free at heart like you was as a child.Pure as snow and free to be who you are made to be .You are complete in Christ and without anything to keep you from His goal. His perfect will is in you now!!Lord bring now the man of your will to bring joy and fulness to your daughter. You are perfect in the love of God and very beauiful.

Well, Since this thread is "Dream Interpretation" I think it is a little odd that there have been No Dreams & therefore also No Interpretations Posted...
So I am going to post an old dream that is more relevant today than it was several years ago when I wrote several pages of interpretation for it..
which I will Post Later...
Just in case any one else wants to take a crack at interpreting it.
My Friend who had this dream (A stranger then) is now a Pastor & State Representative in Hawaii...Daniel Paul Degracia
So Here It Is:
From Daniel Pauls Post #777 on Malkhut Yahweh Avodahs Club (A Yahoo Group)
From time to time, I have seen visions, images, people, and places in my dreams,
only to later in life discover that they were real events.
As a Christian, I now take very seriously what I see in my
dreams because I know that sometimes - just sometimes -
there may be a prophetic element in what I see.
Yesterday I had a peculiar dream in which I was sitting across a table from a well dressed man.
The man before me had sandy blonde hair, a slender build, and was immaculately dressed.
For whatever reason, I knew that this man was evil.
I remember suddenly knowing (or being told)
that the man before me was the anti-Christ.
At that point in time, I was given a paper
in which I signed my name.
Instead of my usual signature appearing,
a series of U-shaped icons
appeared before me as if they had been
laser printed on the paper.
I saw three U U U icons in a row,
with a numeric sequence of
12, 3, and 5 above the icons.
A voice in my head said,
"This is the mark of the Beast"
and I think I said what I heard in my head.
I then passed the sheet of paper to the man before me,
and he drew his own interpretation of the icons,
except his version had the third 'U' shape turned to the right.
The numbers above his were 12, 3, and 6.
(I've made a PowerPoint presentation of it online at
http://lonestar.jpl.utsa.edu/danield/ID.ppt)
The man then circled the icons with a red pen and said,
"I'll have to remember this." I then got up from my seat
and walked away. That was the end of the dream.
If you get a chance, please take a look at these icons
Ok... I have no clue about that dream... Seems kinda freaky...btw, the link (http://lonestar.jpl.utsa.edu/danield/ID.ppt) isn't working...
Just remember, you must be careful when you try to interpret a dream.. You should really preay hard before attempting.. If you try to prophesize something from any dream and are completely wrong, that's not a good thing.. Only a prophecy from God is 100% accurate all the time.. And I'm sure no one here is going to tell you that are a Prophet from God, and if they did, we would all probably assume them to be nuts.
Best we can do here is give our opinion on what we think the dreams might mean, if any meaning at all. I've had plenty of dreams that could be interpreted as something really special and great.. But I know they came from something I watched on TV earlier that evening...lol. Which brings another point... Think about what you did the day or 2 before you had this dream.. It may be linked to something you saw, read, or talked about.
My suggestion is, write down every dream you have as soon as you can after waking so you forget little. Then look over it later
Be careful to recognize dreams for what they are - and for what they aren't. Dreams are just the work of your own subconscious mind - they are not messages from God.
Read again Revelation 22:18. At the end of the Bible God declares an end to His prophecy. If He were truly speaking to people in dreams or visions today, those would be additions to the prophecy - which violates Revelation 22:18.
This used to be common knowledge among Christian churches, but the charismatic plague has buried a lot of the old true understandings. Now we're living through an 'anything goes' period of false gospels.
Remember that Christ said that the abomination of desolation would characterize the last times. Remember that II Thessalonians 2:9 speaks of the power of Satan ruling in the churches with "signs and lying wonders". Dreams and visions from God would be "signs" from God.
Now God has completed the Bible and declared an end to signs, visions, dreams, tongues, etc. If we want a prophecy from God we need to search the Scriptures. Read that whole chapter of II Thessalonians 2, Matthew 24:15, Daniel 12:11, carefully and prayerfully.
And study your Bible and focus on that for prophecy and instruction. Christianity isn't like a TV show or movie. There are no shortcuts - no signs and wonders. II Timothy 3:16 says that all scripture is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That's where the prophecy is to be found - nowhere else.
It doesn't matter how many churches and people claim otherwise. (Let God be true and every man a liar.) :p
Julio, the only English translation I trust is the King James Version. The other versions distort too many verses to be trusted, including at least 7 instances where the faith OF Christ bas been changes to faith IN Christ- denying the faith of the Lord and teaching that WE apply our faith in salvation - when the truth is that God must give HIS faith if anyone is to believe on Him.
KJV Bible + Strong's and/or Young's Concordance + Interlinear Bible, if you want to most seriously study the Word. And remember that the Old Testament is still part of the Bible. We no longer follow the ceremonial or dietary laws of O.T. Israel but everything else in the O.T. is still valid (otherwise, why would Christ have quoted from Daniel in Matthew 24:15 when warning about Satan's false gospels of signs and wonders, right?) :p
Stand fast amidst the spiritual storm ... don't be deceived! Study long and prayerfully - there are no shortcuts or quickie signs or wonder to show you the way!
