Most denominations are only interested in numbers, whether it is in attendance or offering. It is a disgrace what men have done to the pure preaching of the word of God. I never use to hear about sin and repentance, or the pursuit of holiness, or love of the brother hood when i was in the non denominational church, or the baptist church. Post Reply

Most denominations are nothing but social gatherings, not even a hint of the true Church of God. It is just a bunch of unbelievers looking for "church" as long as they are entertained and their ears get tickled. Post Reply

Posted : 27 Feb, 2012 03:19 PM I agree Donna I have never attended a non denominational church I have attended a batist church but I dont remeber much I was very little however I do see a lot of people when I work on sunday mornings (our church sevices are at 2 pm sunday school and 3pm worship service) I work from 7 am till 1 pm on sundays and I see all the people who are running in before church to get a drink or gum before service I also see those that are getting something to cook after church, and I talk to thes same people every day of the week you would never thik they were a christian, they dont dress or talk like christins, we are sduposed to be different, but the majority of church memebers blend in with the rest of the community! Its a status thing in most communities or a social club. Its like when you get married and have children you cant go out to bars anymore and thats where people socialize but after you have children and get married you find a church and go on sunday morning and you join the country club or the womens jr leauge or whatever But I would say 80-85% of these people are not saved and if the preachers at these churches ever preach hollieness or redemtion or what it takes to be saved ie truning from sin in an act of repentence, or for that matter if they tel the congrigation what sin is then they risk losing a lot of mone its a shame I may have told yall this story before, my moms cousin was raised in a chirstian home her mamma is a christian lady well a couple years ago she lost her husband also a sweet sweet man who loved the lord, well after that she went a little crazy she maried a man that was in prison within about 3 months she believed it would help him get out of florida stare prison for 1 count of murder one count of escape 1 count of kidnapping oh and he killed another man while in prison I think he got another murder charge for that so anyway needless to say he has a life scentece. But we tried to talk her out of doing this thing anyway she married hoim she later got lonely and met someone else now I dont know if she ever divorced or had her marrige anulled but what I do know is she told evryone her and a new guy she met got maried up in birmingha, I thought to myself wow she got an anulment fast, well later on she told me and my mama that she never did really get married they are just pretending to be married and she ssaid that her pastor told her it was ok because if they get married it will mess yup his disability check and I think also her SS check or whatever she gets from her 1st husband I guess cause her sweond husband had no income it didnt matter. But my poijt is she is living in sin with a man who isnt her husband but the preacher told her it was ok because the government has made it impossiible to get married??? WOAH you know? He is just afraid if he doesnt stell them the truth and say what they want to hear he will lose that check he gets from them every morning! Its a crying shame and I pray he doesnt lead my cousin straight to hell! I hope he doeasnt lead anyone to hell Post Reply

However, for a few years I have looked for a church to go to in addition. Our Synagogue is very Orthodox in worship and I love it but I love the Christian Charismatic worship too. I am from the 70�s and rock!!!LOL First I went to a church of Christ, they told me because I didn�t know I had to be baptized to be saved when I got saved I was not really saved and to top it off they would never baptize me to get saved because I smoked at that time� I do not know to laugh or cry. Then I went to a charismatic church which believes the power of G-d even for today but said just believe and never told me to be obedient. Then I went to a baptist church they told me to obey but denied the power of my Living Lord. Then there is chalcolithic who are just evil� pray to everything and worship everyone in addition to G-d and killer of the Jews. Needless to say I can not find a Christian denomination who teaches the whole Gospel of Y-shua!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In short the answer is YES!!!! Post Reply

Posted : 27 Feb, 2012 11:43 PM mcubed, there is some craxy stuff going on in church of christ, my bff since I was 12 goes to church of christ since we were kids and she is so decieved I have been talking to her about the lod she told me she was babtized so she thought she was saved, its hard to say anything to help her after years of indoctrinantion I am talking to her a little everyday abut serving God with her whole heart, as far a church that preaches obedeience and the power of God try a full gospel or tradtional pentecostal assembly of God or church of God, hollyness petnecostal churches will teach obedeince,holyness and the power of God.. but the untited petecostal church they do not recognize the trinty so beware of a UPC.. chruches that call themselfs full gospel are usualy good. its hard hard hard to find a church that teaches obedience and the power of the hol ghost too! withut being legalistic, some of the really strict hollieness churches and also the UPC can be very legalsitc the UPC goes a little too far sometimes about women cutting their hair and so on.. I myself dress modestly and I dont wear jewlery those are my convictions but my church does not push us to not wear jewlery my pastors wife wears earings, I do condem her for it but its my conviction not to because of how being peirced is related to baal worship and so forth!but thats me, not ebrtone I dont believe in tatoos but I now a couple who are chrisians I believe they are saved they both got tatoos and they say if its done in rebelion that makes it sin maybe so, but my point which I got off of, is try zome other churches the non denominational and chraismatics are the hyper faith word of faith movement you will only get partial truths there I am not saying that there arent people ther who are saved I am just saying they wont teach holieness or obedience just faith and aith without works is dead according to the apostle paul Post Reply

No Denominations are the symptoms of man listening to the author of division as was revealed from the beginning of time. Truth reveals the perfect will of God as Unity and the truth declares the answer for the unity. The liar attacks these truth's and men and women hear and respond to Them and the opinion's of men and doctrines of men abound by the will of man, For Satan has no power over anyone lest they yield to his deception. 1Co 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 1Co 11:18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. Ro 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. The answer is Very simple Keep your eyes upon the author and finisher of our faith, and you will resist the deceiver and his devices. When your eyes are upon Jesus and you are walking in the light of the word the illumination readily exposes the darkness. When your eyes stay upon him you will no longer see the problems but his answer to the problems, divisions and you proclaim the answer and not the problem. Post Reply
