The bible language for this glorious ocassion is receiving the Gift of "The Holy Ghost"

It is also referred to as" Being Filled With The Holy Ghost"

The Glorious occasion Jesus spoke as being The Baptism With The Holy Ghost

It is Well to Note that is the promise of the father to the Lord Jesus and His Church

This is the infallible word of God witnessing To The children of God receiving the power of God.

These examples is not the gift of tongues as declared in 1st Corinthians.

The Traditions of men have many answer's to this question and not one of them is true, there is only one witness given for having received the power of the Holy Spirit.

All three of the godhead are involved in this gift of The Holy Ghost:

The Father

The Son

The Holy Ghost.

This defintion of witness agree's with the bible witness of this Gift to the Body of Christ:

witness (wtns)

n.

1.

a. One who can give a firsthand account of something seen, heard, or experienced: a witness to the accident.

b. One who furnishes evidence.

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

This is the first witness and the beginning of the church the witness is they all sopke with tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance.

This occasion also defines what it means to be filled with the Holy Ghost

This second witness just really slaps the devil upset the head and exposes all his lies on this topic.

Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Acts 11:14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

Acts 19:2 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

Acts 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto Johns baptism.

Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Acts 19:7 And all the men were about twelve.

Beautiful points from everyone, and here are a few scripture references to consider...

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord.

I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children. Now if we are children, then we are heirsheirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

I John 5:7 For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. We accept human testimony, but Gods testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.

So if we indeed believe as everyone has stated that the Holy Spirit is our witness; and if we all believe that the Holy Spirit lives on the inside of us; and if we ALL believe that we are children of the same God... and if we all believe that God's word is TRUTH, and this is the total work of the Hoy Spirit to lead us into the knowledge and understadning of God through Jesus Christ, and witness to our spirit that this is truth...

Why is it that not many Christian believers are able to come into agreement with the witness (testimony) of the Holy Spirit that He is giving us in our inner being that what we hear, speak, and read is truth?

In other words there is One God, One Jesus Christ, One Holy Spirit, One faith and One baptisim into Christ, and the Holy Spirit is not going to lie to us or for us. Therefore, if we ALL have His witiness on the inside of us, shouldn't we ALL also be in agreement with what the word say in scripture, and the revelation of the Holy Spirit into God's word of truth?

Should not our answers to scripture be the same yes and no in unity with the Spirit?
