In the early 1990's, a cattle rancher ran across the scriptures describing the red heifer. As he pondered what he had just read, he realized that he indeed had that kind of heifer.
Coming into contact with a group from Israel, he began communicating and eventually worked a deal to provide them with the biblically defined red heifer.
The original agreement was to provide 200 pregnant red heifers, which would be shipped via ocean lined to Jerusalem. Statistically, these pregnant heifers would produce 100 bulls and 100 heifers. The resultant 100 heifers would become the "potential" sacrificial stock.
Time went by, and this event did not occur. The interest and motivation had by no means disappeared but are fervently still there. The plan had now reached a much grander scale. The goal now is to repopulate the nation of Israel with this man's breed of cattle stock. So instead of 200 heifers, they are planning to ship thousands of heifers to Jerusalem.
As you read this, the heifers are grazing in the plains of Nebraska. I have been told that they are very gentle and a very good breeding stock. They have never been haltered, worn a blanket and are visually spotless and free from defect. A rabbi from Israel will be examining them this spring (1997).
The rancher is Clyde Lott. He has said that they are looking for "prayerful minded people" to help out with their efforts. He also said that they are "set on go" and ready for the process of shipment and repopulating to begin.
Most of this information has been obtained from a tape interview of Clyde Lott by Hatikva Ministries and from telephone conversations with him.
There is quite a bit of excitement in the air regarding the recent birth of a red heifer in Israel. This news has rocked the world in a way that it doesn't fully realize .... yet.

However, the cow must be at least two years old before it can be used. Until then, the cow will be carefully watched to ensure that nothing occurs to invalidate its status. According to Biblical law, the cow's ashes are used for purification from certain forms of impurity, and is therefore a prerequisite for the renewal of Holy Temple service.

The birth of a red heifer in Israel is being hailed by religious Jews as a sign from God that work can soon begin on building the Third Temple in Jerusalem.
A team of rabbinical experts last week confirmed that the animal, born six months ago on a religious kibbutz near the north Israeli port of Haifa, meets the correct Biblical criteria for a genuine holy cow. According to the Book of Numbers (XIX: 2-7), the animal is needed for an ancient Jewish purification ritual.
"Speak unto the children of Israel that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke," says the fourth book of the Old Testament, also part of Jewish holy scripture, the Torah.
The heifer will be slaughtered and burned, and its ashes made into a liquid paste and used in a ceremony which religious Jews believe they must undergo before they can enter the old Temple site in Jerusalem to start building a new structure.
Since Herod's Temple was destroyed by the Roman emperor Titus in AD 70, no flawless red heifer has been born within the biblical land of Israel, according to rabbinical teaching.
The birth of the animal, to a black-and-white mother and a dun-colored bull, is being hailed as a "miracle" by activists who want to rebuild the Third Temple and prepare the way for the Jewish messiah's entry to Jerusalem.
The faithful will need to wait until the heifer is at least three before it can be used in a ritual sacrifice. That would enable religious Jews to start the new millennium (a Christian event, but still regarded as portentous) in a state of purity.
News of the red heifer's appearance, however, will not be well received by Muslims. The site of the old Jewish temples in the Holy City is now occupied by one of Islam's holiest shrines, the Dome of the Rock. Jewish extremists want to destroy the Dome and the adjoining Al-Aqsa mosque to make way for a new temple. In 1985 a group of Jewish terrorists were jailed in Israel for planning to destroy the Dome with high explosives.
But Jewish activists say they regard it as their divine mission to build a new Temple. "We have been waiting 2,000 years for a sign from God, and now he has provided us with a red heifer," said Yehudah Etzion, the ringleader of the Eighties' plot to blow up the Dome, who was present at last week's inspection of the red heifer at Kfar Hassidim. In truth red heifers are born every day of the year. There are entire breeds of red cattle. Red Angus is a well known example.

As for the heifer being of "a variety believed extinct for centuries" this is balony. Every cattle breeder knows exactly the pedegree of his cattle. It is impossible to suddenly discover a "lost breed" of any domestic animal. We can breed cattle to resemble a lost breed but it will only be resemblance.
What's more the Bible does not specify any breed or "variety" of Red Heifer.

So any red heifer would do as long as it has no "spot" or "blemish" and has never borne a yoke.

A Kosher Red Heifer is Alive and Well in Israel!

According to the article and the audio link posted below, Rabbi Chaim Richman has announced on a radio show that there is at least one kosher red heifer alive and well in Israel. This is very significant from a prophetic and Jewish perspective as the ashes from a red heifer are required for purification and a requirement for the future Temple. Why of course I will explain. Those two other red heifers ended up having blemishes or white patches of hair grow out of their body after 3 years. They ended up not meeting the requirements of being "spotless". I take that as a sign from Jesus that it just was not yet time. This Rabbi however, has made it clear that the one now has no blemishes at all to this day. God bless you brother!

Anyway I'm a lil confused. I know that both the ones born in '97 and '02 were found to be blemished, and i also know according to Chaim Richman (is he a rabbi?) that this heifer was born in march. (All 3 actually were born during Nissan if i'm not mistaken.) Nonetheless the point is this: How can he be sure that it is kosher, if it isn't even 6 months old yet? The other two were disqualified in November or earlier IIRC.
Anxiously awaiting your response.

After further research, I would have to agree with you, there were two other instances where a red heifer was born and ruled as kosher but later disqualified. I did not realize this so thanks for the correction and I have adjusted my original blog entry to reflect this.
Having said that Rabbi Chaim Richman is one of the main Rabbi's when it comes to preparations for the Third Temple. If anyone would know information about the red heifer he would know.
I also must have missed where he said it was born in March. Could you please give me a link or show me how you know that?
Time will tell if this red heifer is significant, more importantly if this Passover season is prophetically important.

yeah, pure conjecture on my part, not intentional deception. I was looking for the age of this heifer, and so i looked at the ages of the other two when they were announced. Both were announced in April, and both were said to be a month old when announced. For some dumb reason, my mind saw the announcement date of 3/2/10 as a birthdate, after reading that about the other two, so my apologies for that, I was dead wrong.
FWIW,I agree with you we don't have much time left, the 2014/15 blood moon scenario leads me to believe that that is when the AOD takes place. (The same event, massacre of jews, and high holy days, passover & tabernacles), bookend each other, while Israel's two wars in '48 & '67 reside in the middle.
Unlike most christians, i believe Jesus WANTS us to know, not to set a date, but to know the season. He commands us to watch, and says if we do, we won't be caught asleep. Matt 24 is spoken to the jews, not the bride, and it's about the Trib.
Since a red heifer needs to be sacrificed at 3 years of age, and since the bible says the anti-christ puts a stop TO sacrifices, (the jews clearly do it once anyway) then it's not outside the realm of probability that we could go home sometime during 2010/11.
That is why i was curious as to how old this heifer is. if you do somehow manage to find out, let us know would ya? Thanks & god bless.

Israel US relations are tense. We are ready. May the Lord allow a sacrifice on passover. We all know sacrifice will be stopped in the future because of the animal rights activists. When I see them sacrifice even as a believer who loves God, it feels strange. Then I wonder how can i feel such pain for a lamb and not keep Jesus' sacrifice in my foreknowledge. I personally believe the treaty has not yet begun. I believe the 1st 3.5 years is about to begin however and this is the red heifer that will begin the third temple. I KNOW Obama is the Antichrist. His next plan is to be president of the World. He will never decrease while he continues to follow his daddy Satan and increases taxes. He is destroying wonderfully just like Daniel said he would!

I appreciate you coming by and commenting on this blog, but you have to understand this blog is not about pinning the tail on the AC. It is about watching and reporting on the signs of His return.
Too many people in the past have been convinced that so and so is the AC and it has not come true and has been a hindrance to our witness. IMHO the scriptures are clear that the AC will not be revealed until the Abomination of Desolation at the mid-point of the 70th week. Until that event occurs this blog will have not have any part in declaring the identity of the AC.
Please respect this.
Now of course this does not mean that we will not report events as they occur and discuss the possibilities associated with those events. You of course you are welcome to comment in such discussions.

can't they burn one up for the ashes, and then use the other one for whatever they need?
i honestly don't know who else to ask, here's hoping you can find out for the rest of us.
also, a friend of mine wanted to know, since they haven't had a true day of atonement in quite awhile,(scapegoat sacrifice)how do the jews claim sanctification/salvation?

I would agree with you that there are some serious questions surrounding the announcement of a kosher Red Heifer.
My best guess is that as soon as a Red Heifer is deemed acceptable for sacrifice, that it would be sacrificed and be put to ashes immediately. They do not need to find the old ashes, they just need these new ashes and to be frank it would not surprise me at all if one of these Red Heifers was already ashes. I have no proof of this, but just a hunch of mine and pure speculation.
I do not know how the Jewish people claim sanctification/salvation without a Temple and sacrifices. I am sure that they have found a temporary way around this Old Testament Covenant, but I am unsure of that path.

For 'Anonymous' and 'Olive Tree' - my Pastor has an interesting take on Obama - he does NOT believe that he is the AC - However, as the devil likes to counterfeit all that God establishes, his theory is that, as God sent a forerunner in Elijah, so too the devil has sent a forerunner for the AC in Obama - the "False Elijah", if you will. While not actually being 'the son of perdition', he believes that he is an archetype of the type of politician that the AC will be - charming, charismatic, well-spoken, passionate, seemingly incredibly sincere, etc. Also, one wonders how the AC could ever rise to power? Well, just look at Obama's meteoric (and many say unqualified, undeserved and unsubstantiated) rise to power. It's amazing and frightening to see the hero worship he inspires despite a subterfuge surrounding his place of birth, his lack of having voted on any one single issue while in office prior to the Presidency, his alarmingly unmerited Nobel Peace Prize, etc. And yet, still, his power, influence, and popularity will pale in comparison to the AC. ALL who are not covered by the Lord will fall under his spell and that spell will reach the all the world. Keep watching, Brothers and Sisters; keep faithful. It won't be long now...

In this manner one can say definitely that it qualifies as the red heifer.
Why wait and see if at 4 years it will grow white hair? Get the ashes and be done with it. I think they did.

I believe most of us know that a red heifer has to be at least 3 years old in order to be sacrificed, BUT how many here are aware that, according to the rabbis themselves, a red heifer is considered one year old at BIRTH!

I have searched for an update on the Red Heifer and I can not find one. I suspect there is a very good reason as to why an update is not available.
I personally suspect, but of course have no knowledge of this, that this Red Heifer was sacrificed and was made into ashes. Remember the ashes are what is needed to resume sacrifices. The ashes are used to remove impurity's, not only for Temple workers, but for the Temple tools, etc.

9.`Now a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place, and the congregation of the sons of Israel shall keep it as water to remove impurity; it is purification from sin.

Hello people. I was just interest in goggling "red heifer alive in isreal" due to my pastor's sermon this evening. He spoke of many sign and things world wide that are not clear to most people. One would have to be, let's say well taught theologically speaking. All while he was preaching I just wondered how many people were frightened or scared. Personally I do not like pastors focusing so much attention on the rapture but more on the simple biblical truth that Jesus died in our place that He may be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Through His resurrection we have new life and can begin a relationship with the Father. All of this about wars and rumors of wars, sickness throughout the worlds, and many other signs Jesus hints is just to keep us mindful that at anytime He may come back. Just think there have always been wars, sickness, disobedient children, and the list continues. The fact remains JESUS is COMING again. Whether He's coming in the next few seconds, hours, days, months, or years we must not waste valuable time on arguments of who's who and what's what. Spread the message of what He did and how it can change anothers' life. Jesus is coming again.
