Some Say Dead Man Can Not Hear, Can Not Respond To The Word Of GoDd

Posted : 10 Dec, 2011 03:00 PM

PJ said:

"some say dead man can not hear, can not respond to the Word of God."

James replies:

Christians have been saying this for over a thousand years PJ.

1 Corinthians 2:14

English Standard Version (ESV)

14The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is NOT ABLE to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

NOT ABLE......

James That scripture say's the same thing it has every time you have been answered with the statement you mentioned concerning1st Cor 2:14 of course the natural man can not receive from God, I have always said that.

There seems to be this pattern, those have that given them self the justification to interpret the word of God have, they twist scripture to fit ther doctrine.

Man is not just a natural man, he is and has always been a spirit being first, that has a soul and body

!st Cor 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Notice James those that act just as you have with that scripture many times Paul referred to as carnal and that is at enmity with the father, hatred is the meaning of enmity.

Jesus told Nicodemus that a man COULD NOT "see" or "enter" the kingdom of God UNLESS they were FIRST "Born again".

James this scripture has nothing to do with what you project either, btw you might wanna take that discussion up with Enoch.

All man are responsible for every vain word.

Jesus also said what Paul said above in 1 Cor. 2:14

Joh 14:17 "the Spirit of truth, whom the world CANNOT receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Well James maybe you forgot to meditate on this passage, remember the natural man can not receive anything form the lord.

When Jesus spoke that to his disciples they where not born again, and this passage is not referring to the new birth, this promise is to the church subsequent to the new birth.

Got that PJ? "CANNOT......."

Jesus said TWICE in John 6:

Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

James that is not a doctrine of the church, that is a verse that you use to imply selective redemption.

Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me.

Rightly divide the word of God is the instruction to all.

The Bible CLEARLY TEACHES that fallen, natural man is UNABLE to repent and trust in Jesus, and that it TAKES GOD to save a man.

This was already answered earlier James the same truth, and no we know the bible does not say man can not repent, that is a teaching of reformation theology, we have the bible as our source of reference.

No one says that when they respond to the word of God as directed that they are saving themselves, that is just another intimidation tactic of Calvinist.

In Christ,

A man in christ should never have such a response, for it is impossible for the lord to LIE, nor would his anointing led a man to lie.

Right someone can respond to the Word and the Drawing of the Lord and repent then they can be born again and understand spiritual things! That simple! I dont know why people have to complecate it, or why they Think Jesus trysd to confuse us! He said he would draw all men! ALL ALL ALL!!! HE would have said some men if thats what he had meant! Just saying! The Lord does things the right way and he doesnt try to confuse those that love him! I want to point something out I have repented and I Love the Lord and I dont belive in that Jesus Only died for the elect stuff so and I was Dead in trespasses and sin and I understand spirit things and enough to lknow I am a sinner and I need God so I am saved and born again and the process of regeneration and santification have and still are going on in my life , its obviouse I am different I have experienced the new birth, so whether what I believe is right or wrong either I believe right or it doesnt matter who is right or wrong only that you repent and believe in Jesus! so I dont know why we have to argue why cant we instead of acting like the other is the enemy, accept that we may not know all the answers (i know i dont) and try to find deeper truths! I myself think that my having the choice to accept or reject the call of God doesn not affect his complete control over things, we need to examine ourselfs (i know i am) and make sure our pride is not causing us to miss out on something deeper! Maybe God is using this disagreement between the two sides to try and help us to help each other into a deeper understanding since we all say we love Him and all things work together for good for those who love Him, we should be looking at it differently as brothers and sisters trying to help each other find deeper meaning and not like this side and that side. We really dont have that much we disagree on and I think there is somewhere a deeper TRUTH that is part what US believes and part what Them believes we are all a little wrong but all a lot right, none of us know all the truths about what we discuss and the sooner we PUT OUR PRIDE ASIDE and really dig and except maybe we are wrong about some things the closer we will come to figuring out or having a revelation!

I love you all and I really thnk we should be a team. I am now checking my pride at the door and gonna try to really open my mind to the possibility that I am not completly right! I am in by no menas ready to except the pre destiantion doctrine but I think they may know some things that maybe I dont and vise versa, I have the holy spirit to guid me and help me descern so I am going to try to learn! I dont think church history matters by the way! Thats not the issue the issue is rightly dividing the word and being willing to except that maybe somethings we believe are tradtions of men and not what THUS SAIETH THE LORD!!!
