Admin	Take Heed To How You Hear: Posted : 17 Nov, 2011 06:35 PM This scripture is found in Luke's version of the parable of the sower: Lu 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. This is the same truth in the parable of the sower in Mk Mr 4:24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. This is it in The Account of the parable found in Mt. Mt 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. These three scriptures speak of sowing and reaping: and the warning is this if you are hearing and it is not according to scripture you will begin to believe that which you hear and you will lose what you had. This law also works for you and the proper way is the way of faith. The way according to Sin, following after the flesh, hearing as the flesh will hear is the way of sin. Post Reply

ITS WHAT WE HEAR that rbing about sin into our lives... what we see enters our mind, and what we hear enters our hearts and spirits that defiles us. Post Reply
elishabroadway View Profile History	Take Heed To How You Hear: Posted : 17 Nov, 2011 10:40 PM Amen Sister Ella, thats why we should abstain from secualr music and its lustful lyrics and the television with its dirty inuendo and filth, because it gets in your eyes then your head, next thing you know its in your heart and your acting on it.. this is why Jesus said even looking at a woman to lust after her is adultry becasue he knows thats how it happens you think its an innocent thought or fantasy that will just stay in your mind but if you terry on those things you WILL do them and they will seperate you from God! God will never break his covenant with us but if we let the wrong things in our heart we will not be able to abstain! If we do our part to RUN FROM SIN!!! which is what he are told to do my Bible says flee but it means the same thing, so if we do that he will be faithful to show up and give us the strength to abstain but if we let our eyes or ears terry on these things then thats not fleeing from evil and so he will eventualy give in. Trust me I have been down that road, I am careful about what I let into my eyes and ears cause it will get into your heart in a second! I expalin it to my daughter (who is 17) when she wants to turn it to the country music staion shile she is in my car riding with me (which I never allow but she always tries me) I tell her "it just makes me want to do stuff I shouldnt do" all of that stuff is about sex or drinking or falling in love but not godly love but the love of this world, every bit of its about lust and its satans tool to make us stray! I think how I backslid many years ago the first mistake I made was to start listening to secular music a little along, next thing I was drinking and had left my church! Satan was created with music inside of him! Thats why when we hear certain music it makes us want to do certain things for example before I got saved if I didnt feel like cleaning the house I got out my billy joel CD (I always loved billy joel thats been a hard one for me) but 2 songs into it I was working like crazy, by the time I heard the whole cd I was near about done! But lots of times for some reason i would pull my bottle out of the freezer and drink me a couple.. When I used to go to clubs and go out dancing with my friends , if i had changed my mind or was tired and didnt really feel like going I would play my prince cd and by the time little red corvette played I was dressed and ready! Thats because music affects us and changes our mood , Music can do the same things in worship we can hear certain sings and it will spark something inside that makes us want to throw our hands up in submision to God and praise him! Its not a coencidence its the way we were created! Music should only be for Gods Glory anything else is dangerous!! Sorry PJ didnt mean to steal your post! Post Reply
