This is a much debated subject, especially among modern Christians that believe God would never knowingly create anything evil. However, these are the same people that will say God knew the end before the beginning. I say, which is it? It cannot be both ways. I am anxious to see the answers you get. But he fell because of his pride, and when he fell, God made him take all of his supporters with him. This is when he became an enemy and adversary of God and everything God has created, and seeks to destroy man, and defeat all of God's plans that are for good . But he cannot do anymore than God permits him to do in our lives, because he is under god's control. God uses him to strengthen us (as with JOB), in our life journey, which brings us closer to God. And this is why God has given us authority over him, because satan (devil) is a defeated foe, he knows this, but continues to be in opposition to the things of God. The devil's work is to do evil, that's all he knows to do in his fight back against God. Post Reply

This is why God says He hates pride, PRIDE makes people think they are right when they are wrong, but Their pride (righteously self-centered) tells them they are not wrong... and no matter what, they still refuse to accept the truth. I will not get into when Satan was, or is going to be, cast down, because that is a whole different debate. We have day, which is light, and we have night, which is dark. Now, if we didn't have night, we would also lose day. Now I know that sounds crazy at first, but think about it. If there is no darkness, we would not have to distinguish between the two, so it would not be day, it would just be. We would not know of anything else, so day wouldn't be day, it would be normal. I believe it is the same with Satan. How would we know good without a comparison. How could we "choose" God, if there was nothing else to choose from? We have to have a comparison, in order to understand something, it is just the way we are wired. Okay, I am ready. Just don't be too harsh.LOL. I betcha he'll put you in the hot seat! lol But you're right, if God had not kicked satan (I refuse to give him title by capitalizing his name, LOL). Anywayzzz,had God not kicked him out of heaven, we would not know how to discern good from evil. And God already knew that satan would rebell against Him in heaven, and because God uses all things for His good, He is using satan to keep us on the right path.
