Little children, we have always been at war with the seed of darkness. We know them, for they come bearing words that are intended to appear as if they have the best in mind for men, when in reality their every word is as the poison of an asp.
They want you to listen to them and their never ending philosophies, and should one proclaim the truth in their midst, they then attack you in packs as wolves..
The key that always gives them away, is their reliance upon their conspiracy and their vehemence with all who oppose them.

Interesting..... I'm not sure who you are directing this thread to, but I have seen in this forum more "vehemence with all who oppose them", coming from the Calvinists here. They get downright nasty with name calling, false accusations, even turning the God of those who don't believe as they do, into a God of various names to include Santa Clause.
Let me tell you something... God does not require His people to choose between Calvinism and Arminianism, which of course if you are not a Calvinist, you are automatically termed an Arminian.
After discussing the differences between the Calvinist and my non-Calvinist self, of one thing am I convinced... that John Calvin has caused great and unnecessary divisions among God�s people because of dogmatizing his philosophizing about God�s sovereignty and election. If we Believers were left simply to believe the Bible�s own statements on these matters without the insertions of 'elect', where the word elect is not seen or mentioned, without taking the world out of the word "world", and all other twisting and butchering of Scripture adnauseam, and if none of us were made to feel forced to decide between the man-made theologies called �Calvinism� and �Arminianism,� as if that were the deciding factor as to whether one truly believes the Bible and is born-again, the Christian world, not to mention our witness as Christian's, would be much better off, and many of these artificial and unnecessary divisions would not have resulted.
I just don't understand why a person cannot read a verse and take it at face value. God so loved the world, period. He gave His Son, period. Whoever believes in Him will have eternal life, period. Do we really need to get philosophical or go with some man�s systematic theology with such a simple statement of Biblical truth? When we share this verse in John 3:16, where in Scripture does it tell us to explain that this verse is meant for a certain group of people? We should never go beyond Biblical statements in an attempt to systematize the mysteries of God. Calvinism goes beyond the actual statements of Scripture and creates doctrine by human reasoning. Paul warned us of this-
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3
The simplicity that is in Christ is simply that. We make it difficult when it is not. We take the simple and go beyond simple in trying to create a doctrine that is far from the simplicity that is in Christ.

God did not give his word so that people like me cant understand it, I understand that the world means the world and whoseoever means anyone that will!! No that doesnt mean everyone will but if they do then they are saved and thats it and that is ALL... Some great responses! Elisha, you have blessed me by your attitude of love for those who have wronged you. May our Father in heaven continue to fill us up with His Spirit and His nature!

Im definitely a simple kind of guy and Im not that intelligent or wise either. The only thing I know is that since the day I met this man called Jesus Christ, my life has never been the same. It was the SIMPLICITY of the gospel of Jesus Christ that saved me: the simple message of God's love for me(John 3:16). I give Him all the glory and honor and I have faith that as we surrender more and more to His will, He will bring to perfection the work He has already begun in our lives.

First of all, you are one of these people, of Christianity, who has learned your philosophies at the feet of other men.
Look at this statement of how you view Jean Cauvin [the proper spelling] as the man who espoused the doctrines of grace. WRONG! Grace did not begin with Jean Cauvin and his conflict with Jacob Hermansen, it first was the argument of Augustine, who wrestled with Pelaguis in the 5th century, and then it goes back further to Rome, and Paul dealing with the Romanizing doctrines of Kabbalah in the Jews and pagans at Rome. But the true foundation of this agrument begins even before the Garden, it originated in heaven, when Lucifer beguiled 1/3rd the stars of heaven.
For you to actually write that you have TWO sides, or TWO arguments raging in you ["the Calvinist and my non-Calvinist self"] is not a very prudent thing to state.
This is exactly wrong with this picture. Men do not comprehend this argument having originated with God and Lucifer, and then from there into mankind.
Jean Cauvin was flawed, and he communicated his false philosophy to other men; and these men, not knowing God themselves, followed "Calvin", and this is a modern version of heresy in the notion of true religion.
What we have here may shock you, but you will just have to be stunned..
But this argument has TWO sides, one is TRUTH, and the other is PERCEIVED truth.
So you are basically stating that you believe in REAL TRUTH and PERCEIVED TRUTH at the same time, which is impossible. One might be a steward of the knowledge of grace, and have to deal with the battles against darkness, but they should never say that they believe in good and darkness at the same time.
Men, women, too, who have not heard from God, themselves, will always follow other men, and it is a shame for a real man or woman of God, to state that they either follow, or do not follow the teachings of men.
The Word of God states that we, who are true believers, are not taught of men, but that we are taught of God; so your theosophy is flawed from the beginning.

We, the elect, are taught of God, not Jean Cauvin, T.D. Jakes, Benny Hinn, or any other man.. or woman!!
