If you were to ask the average person what prohibition is found more than any other in Scripture, you would most likely hear responses like these: Don't steal. Don't kill. Don't lust. Don't covet. While these are all reasonable guesses, the actual answer might surprise you. More than any other prohibition in Scripture, God reminds us again and again with this command: "Don't be afraid!" The great evangelist D. L. Moody had a favorite verse. It was Isaiah 12:2: "I will trust and not be afraid." Moody used to say, "You can travel to heaven first-class or second-class. First-class is, 'I will trust and not be afraid.' Second-class is, 'When I am afraid, I will trust in Thee.'" Jesus desires for us to travel first-class.
In one of my favorite verses in the Bible, Jesus echoes Isaiah 12:2 when He says, "'Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom:angel:'" (Luke 12:32). The natural question to ask after hearing these words is, "Why shouldn't I be afraid?" The biblical answer is that we serve a God who is a shepherd, father, and king.
God is our Shepherd. Jesus says, "Do not fear, little flock." If we are God's flock, then He is our Shepherd. The idea is that with God as our Shepherd, we have no reason to fear. Not only is God our Shepherd, He is also our Father. Like an earthly father who knows how to give good gifts to his children, our Father in heaven gives good things to His children who ask Him (see Matthew 7:11). We don't have to be afraid because we have a loving Father in heaven.
God is also our King. Jesus teaches this when He says, "It is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom:angel:." God can give us the kingdom because He is the King. If God is our King, then that means He is sovereign and in control. We have nothing to fear.
So, remember this today. God is your Shepherd, Father, and King. You are a part of His little flock, His beloved sheep, and He loves you very much. Because of that, you have no reason to be afraid.
Some of us might ignore the Son of God for months or years, feeling "too busy" or content. They are not going to obey Him. Some of us never thank Him for the good things He has placed in our life. A few of us are living in casual or sinful disobedience, hoping God will ignore our sins (which He won't). Will they be in the Kingdom of God if they say that they are Christians? The answer may be: NO.
Jesus said:
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven ...
Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in your Name, cast out demons in Your Name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
And then, I will declare to them
'I never knew you ... depart from Me
you who practice lawlessness ..."
(Matt 7:21-23)
Lawlessness means willfully doing or approving of things that contradict the words of God in the Bible.
Our brother said:
"To believe, is not simply ACTING AS THOUGH THE WORD OF GOD IS TRUE! To believe, is to have the Word of God become reality in your flesh. It is not the case where one acts as though it is true, but because it is TRUE, one conducts themselves by its power."
Many people look like Christians, think they are Christians and in reality are not Christians. Do you remember a parable of Jesus about 10 bride mates? Some of them were 'fake' Christians. Or better to say they were NOT PREPARED for the Lord Jesus' return. They all were invited to their Wedding ceremony:angel:. One day there will be a Wedding feast and we are all Brides even if you are a man.
We all are Brides:angel: invited to this Ceremony in the Kingdom of God. But 5 of them were not prepared!!!! They profess their faith and sit in our Churches. They even called Jesus int his parable as 'Lord'. They all confess Jesus Christ Lord. You can be in Church and not necessarily you are a Christian!!!
How to be a believer in God Jesus born of God?
Through FAITH in the Son of God, repentance and confession of all your sins to God in a prayer.
Here is an example of such prayer/conversation with God:
God, I know I am a sinner. And I am sorry for what I have done. And I turn from my sin now and ask You to forgive me. Thank You that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His blood for me. Be my Savior and my Lord! And be my friend! I want to follow You from this day forward. Fill me with Your Spirit! And help me to be Your disciple! Thank You for accepting me. Thank You for forgiving me. Thank You that I am now YOURS. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
So here is my question to you: Are you ready for the return of Jesus Christ? Will you be ready to step into eternity? Are your ready to reign with the Creator of the universe Jesus?
Or do you still lie in your mud pit with lovers?
Always remember the HOLY law of God in the Old and New Testament which reads:
There are people who are not real. They profess their faith and sit in our Churches. They all confess Jesus Christ Lord. You can be in Church and not necessarily you are a Christian!!!
We will see more and more people like this!!! They have the form of godliness:angel:.but they continue in sin:devil:But how is it possible? Wedding is so close and they miss it?! The Kingdom of Heaven:angel: is so close and they cannot reach it. They are crashed by their sins:devil:.
The Kingdom of God:angel: is the prepared place for prepared people:angel:.
