For James, Arch, & DLJ and ALL Calvinists...

James, Arch, DLJ, you guys speak much about the regeneration process of the Holy Spirit in a person's life according to what you are taught in your church doctrines. So for the purpose of discussion let's go deeper into some spritual thought into the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit for those who might not understand or know how the Spirit of the Lord works.
Perhaps you can explain these questions based on your church doctrine of regeneration that you have been taught and according to what God's Holy Word teaches in scriptures... as i always say, God does nothing without purpose, intent, and fulfillment... therefore, let's have a little Bible study.
1. What is God's purpose of the Holy Spirit in a person's life?
2. Does the Holy Spirit provide us with eternal life?
It is certainly wrong to say some doctrines of the NT are the defining premise or the foundation doctrine of the entire NT since we are to teach all of the commands of the NT. The doctrines of the Resurrection of Jesus, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the Father choosing those to be saved; of course, are all very important parts of God's Word.
John 6:39,44: Jesus says, "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall *LOSE NONE** of all that *HE {The Father} HAS GIVEN ME*, but raise them up on the Last Day...No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father who sent Me *DRAWS HIM*, and I will raise him up at the Last Day."{Of the Great Tribulation}
John 14:23: Jesus says, If anyone loves Me, he:rolleyes: will obey My teaching, My Father will love him, and We will make Our home with him.
Matthew 28:19,20: Jesus commands, Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to**OBEY EVERYTHING** I have commanded you!
I John 2:3-5: We know that we have come to know Him **IF** we:rolleyes: obey His commands. The man who says, I know Him, but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the Truth is not him. But if anyone **OBEYS HIS WORD**, God's **LOVE** is truly made complete in Him!!
"His Word" would also include all the approximately 400 NT commands in Acts to Revelation as well as the 4 Gospels
2 Timothy 3:16: "**ALL SCRIPTURE** is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
So let us read God's Word daily {Acts 17:11} and then *DO WHAT IT SAYS*! {James 1:22,25}
Acts 17:11: The Bereans were of noble character, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures *EVERY DAY*!
James 1:22,25: Do not merely listen to the Word. *DO WHAT IT SAYS*!... and he:rolleyes: who continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but *DOING IT*will be blessed in what he does."
I Peter 1:22-24: " For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring Word of God....The Word of the Lord stands forever and this is the Word that was preached to you.":applause::angel::peace:
Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, "The Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His **ANGELS** {See Matt 24:30,31; 25:31: 2 Thess 1:6-10} and then He will reward each person:rolleyes: according to what he has done!"

Well Richard your first paragraph is a good example of how far off one can be with what they say and it seem to be biblical.
Most error is found on this simple ignorance of the topic of bible faith, and Calvinism is built on fear which is wicked faith, and does not agree with the word of faith.
Gen3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Gen3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Gen3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
There is your first example of fear Satan twisting faith.
