Admin	Do We Pray Naked? Posted : 12 Jan, 2009 10:56 PM Hi Everyone, When we pray do we pray naked before the Lord? Now wait a minute....I am not talking about this in a literal sense but a spiritual sense. Do we strip the clothing of pride, arrogance and justification for sins? How about our shoes? Yes the shoes that stepped on our brothers or sisters character by gossiping and backbiting them or even bearing a False Witness? Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. NKJV Let us not fool ourselves when we go to our Lord in prayer for we are all naked before Him who sees and knows everything! We may be able to hide from others and even ourselves but we cannot hide from a Holy and righteous God! Ya know I was just thinking. If we were truly loving God and Jesus as we should and one another just as Christ commanded, then we would not have any shame in our spiritual nakedness before the Lord would we? View Profile History	Do We Pray Naked? Posted : 15 Jan, 2009 11:31 AM Walter, Thanks for that. I am sharing this with my Pastor at the church I used to attend when I lived in California. They are having this very issue ( gossip and slander) in the church and one of the participants is a woman that everyone goes to for prayer. She is well thought of as a prayer warrior and being knowledgeable on the scriptures. It's one thing to read the word and another thing to walk in it. James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. NKJV Also 1John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. NKJV I remember a part of the lyrics of a Christian song....I believe it was by Jeff Moore and the Distance..... "Love that is seen means much more than love that is just heard". Blessings! I think that is the point that we have no agendas at all since God sees right through them for we are truly naked before Him. And will not even hear our prayer if we are in sin (less we repent). If we have offense against a brother we must go to them and make it right with them, leaving our pettitions at the alter. I thank God that through his love and meekness we are able to do this! And then come to him with clean hands and a pure heart.
