Good post James:applause:... and this is the reason why God calls us all to repentance, Jesus has already botted out all our sins, all we must do is receive this information and when we do sins know that it is cover by the blood there is therefore, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk (sin) after (according to) the flesh, but walk according to the Spirit who lives within us, and we are living the life0style as Christians in Christ.
But as Paul says, just because we are no longer condemned and under the penalty of death for ur sins... should we as Christians continue to sin so that grace might abound? God forbid!... we repent so that grace might continue to abound. Because when we, as Christians do sin, true repentance is our way out, and repentance brings with it no condemnation or punishment or judgement from God, because of who we are in Christ as our advocate before God, and what Christ did for us on the cross is what sets us free. Its when we do not repent that God will punsih us, becasue we have fraustrated the grace of God.
Hebrews chapter 10 says this: If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him (God) who said, It is mine to avenge; I will repay, and again, The Lord will judge (discipline) his people. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
1Co 13:4 Love has patience, is kind; love is not envious; love is not vain, is not puffed up;
1Co 13:5 does not behave indecently, does not pursue its own things, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;
1Co 13:6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth.
1Co 13:7 Love quietly covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1Co 13:8 Love never fails. But if there are prophecies, they will be caused to cease; if tongues, they shall cease; if knowledge, it will be caused to cease.
Heb_8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb_10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
In stating that GOD will remember my sins no more,He will also NEVER bring my sins before Himself.
Nor will He bring my sins before me in order to CONDEMN me.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
