Ro 5:17 For if by one mans offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Ro 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Ro 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and jointheirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together

In the heart and mind of the father when Jesus was raised from the dead so was all of mankind, and all that Jesus paid for in redemption belongs to all of mankind.

To Abraham or any old testament saint righteousness was imputed or reckoned to them.

In the new covenant what Jesus is so is any believer in the father's eyes, a christian is the righteousness of God in Christ.

PJ said: In the new covenant what Jesus is so is any believer in the father's eyes, a christian is the righteousness of God in Christ.

Ella says: This is correct PJ, when we become born again believers in Jesus Chirst, God imputes (ascribes or charges or place on our account) His righteoiusness, as if we have never sinned before in our lives, and we are innocent of all our sins. But when we sin, we must always repent, this is why God says there is therefore, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because we now have assess to God as HIs children, and can go before Him in repentance, and receive HIs forgiveness becasue of what Jesus did on he cross, and start all over because of grace.

BUt as Paul says we cannot continue to willfully sin after we learn the truth, so that grace might abound. If we do this, we will then frustrate God's grace, and there remains no more sacrifices to cover oor sins if we continue in disobedience. And there will be consequences of punishment from the hand of God. Becaseu if we continue to sin by being disobedient, we are trampling Jesus Christ who made it possible for us to recevie His righteousness under our feet. And insulting the Spiriti of grace.

I understand what Jesus did, but I am in the present, not in the past.

What I said is how the father sees us, and we are supposed to walk in the light of that.
