Communion ~ Jesus gave instructions to His Apostles in the New Testament Covenant...and Saul/Paul calls it "Communion" in 1 Cor 10:16Since Jesus called Saul/Paul and Commissioned him to Teach All that I have Commanded youThen why do Christians denounce what Christ Jesus has said and asks of us to do ???

Matthew 26:26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Mark 14:22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. 23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. 24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: [ this do in remembrance of me. ] 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

1 Corinthians 10:16

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the [ communion ] of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the [ communion ] of the body of Christ?

1 Corinthians 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

I had posted this awhile back.

Communion:What the elements represent and what happened at the Cross:

1. The elements of/in the communion meal represent the Lord Jesus Christ both as the sinless/spotless Lamb of God,and also the sin bearer of/for man..

Two types of bread can be used at this time, matso which contains no yeast;represents Jesus/Yeshua as the sinless/spotless Lamb of God..

The other bread which contains yeast, represents Jesus/Yeshua as the sin bearer of/for man..Remember yeast in the Scriptures represents sin..Genesis 19:3.....Exodus 12:8,15,17....Matthew 26:17....Luke 22:1,7

2.The matso is made from ground wheat kernels/wheat flour and water..

The water represents the Holy Spirit..

The wheat flour represents the Lord Jesus having been (ground-broken)scouraged..

Thus we have I am the bread of life..John 6:48

Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die,it abideth alone:but if it die it brings forth much

fruit..John 12:24

Isaiah 53:4-6

3.The Matso has holes pierced into it...Jesus also was pierced...Psalm 22:16b..John 19:2,34

4.The Matso after being put into an oven, has brown stripes(the fire here symbolically represents the

judgement of God..Genesis 19:24..Isaiah 1:7..

Fire is also a symbol for the Holy Spirit...Matthew 3:11...Acts 1:8..Acts 21-4

5.When we look at the Matso we see that is has four sides, yet each side is different from one another yet

this is one piece of bread..

We have only one Gospel not four Gospels, yet we have four books Matthew,Mark,Luke and John and each

one is different than the other..

And as the four sides of the Matzo meet an intersect at each corner,so to do the four books meet together

intersect, support and compliment one another..

6.As the Matzo is broken,so too Jesus was broken..Isaiah 53 entirely..Matthew 27:32-50

..............................................................................................................................................................................

The other bread could be Jewish rye or white, this bread has to have no seeds, only flour, water and yeast..

1.The flour represents Jesus/Yeshua..

The water represents the Holy Spirit..

The yeast represents sin/the sin(s)of man..

As yeast is added to the water and the flour it becomes dough..The dough begins to rise(put into a cool place)..

Since the garden of Eden and the fall of man sin in man has been growing, man is not getting better,

man is getting worse as time moves ahead..

2.When the dough is put into an oven the fire and heat cause the dough to stop rising..

This dough before being put into an oven represents Jesus as mans sin bearer Isaiah 53...Zechariah 13:7

Jesus took the sin of man upon himself.

The Father did not allow man to lay their hands upon Jesus such as the Jews were commanded to do,with the bullock, goat and lamb...Leviticus 24 entirely....Leviticus 16 entirely..

3.While in the oven/fire the power of the yeast to cause the dough to rise has been stopped..

Though the yeast still remains in the dough, yet the yeast does not have any power over the dough..

Though Jesus bore my sins and judgement on the Cross at Calvary, sin still remains within me as I have this body to deal with until I put on my new body..

Yet sin does not have power over me..Romans 6:1-14

4.The grape juice represents the Blood of the Lord Jesus..

To get the juice from the grape the grape has to be crushed, which is a very violent action..

So too was the Lord Jesus brutally scouraged and crucified..

In Exodus we read about the Blood of the Lamb and the Lords wrath passing over Israel when the Lord

passed over Egypt and slew all of the firstborn of Egypt, this included both man and beast...Exodus 11-12..

I would like to say that there are four Passovers to remember when we break bread..

(1)The passing over of the Lords judgement of death..Exodus 12

(2)The passing over of Isreal through the Red Sea and going into the promised land..Exodus 14 until

Isreal enter into the promised land forty years later..

(3)The passing over of my sins unto Jesus..

(4)In Jesus I pass over from death unto life..John 5:24...Galatians 2:20

(5)Jesus takes my sin, judgement and death at Calvary...

The wrath of the Father is poured out on Jesus and the Father forgives me because of Jesus..The Father gives

me faith to trust Yeshua as my Lord and Saviour...

Thus Jesus Blood is shed and the wrath of God passes over from me unto Jesus..

The wrath of the Father passes over from me unto Jesus as He takes me sins and the ensuing

judgement of my sins upon Himself...

In trusting Jesus as Lord and Saviour the Father brings me from death unto life...John 10:10

In trusting Jesus the Father brings me over to expecting the arrival of the new Jerusalem..Revelation 21

There is much more that could be said about the results of Calvary and what happens when one truts

Jesus/Yeshua as Lord and Saviour...

What the Lord says in His Word about Himself and myself and man are true..

OH, MY... PASSOVER THIS IS JUST BEAUTIFUL!:applause::applause::applause::glow::angel::dancingp::yay::bow::bow:

This is why Jesus said As ofetn, it matter not if you take communion 20 times a day.. Jesus say DO IT IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME (HIM). always keeing in mind His suffering death on the cross for oue sins.

Drinking of the wine (Christ's blood) and eating of the bread (Chirst's body) brings us in Communion or some call it the Lord's Supper or Lord's Table, this is our ONENESS flesh of His lfesh in the physical/spiritual sense with Christ's body in death and resurrection, and soon return, we become one with HIm as believers.

Great post PO:peace:

There are many very evil Satanic:devil: sins that no church of Jesus Christ would ever even consider such as:

Worshiping a human being.

Praying to a human being.

Calling a human being a virgin and sinless when these are Satanic lies.

Bowing down to and kissing the ring of a human being and calling him the Holy Father.

Refusing to let your preachers be married like Peter and the Apostles.

Belief that a priest has the power to forgive sins by telling you to say a bunch of Hail Mary's.

Belief that a priest has the divine power to change wine or grape juice into the blood of Jesus Christ.

Churches that practice the above are not Churches of Jesus Christ. They are churches of Satan.

Richard,

... and what is the name of the church (House of God) you attend regularly?... where you have an active membership in active service with others as a church family? Where is your church ome as you would consider whereto you go to hear and sit under a spiritual leader, a man God, He has called in the church as your paster shepherd of God's flock, who is teaching and preaching God's word equiping and preparing the saint for the works of the ministry; so that the body of Christ may be built up until (YOU and others) all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then ( YOU) and the members will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, so that (YOU and the members-body of Christ) will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

So what did you say is the name of your church home and pastor?... where these things that God has so commanded to be taught from those He has set in the church for His purpose, intent, and fulfillment to be carried out?

It is so Amazing how God Works!

How The Old Testament Pre-Figures and Points to The New.

Forgive me if I make any mistakes here for I do not memorize Scripture (my Mind is small), but

When The Angel of Death Passed over Israel the Jews spread The Blood of a Spotless Innocent (without Fault or Blemish) Lamb that covered them and Protected their First Born.

That Lamb was Sacrificed.

Jesus Blood was Shed for usHe was Sacrificed.

The Passover Seder is done as a Remembrance of that Event.

The Lords Supper (Communion) is done in Remembrance.

The Passover Lamb was prepared and consumed quickly

The Eucharist (The Body and Blood of Christ) is also consumed

It is also interesting that as Jesus entered Jerusalem that day on a donkey (as*) probably right behind Him were the Sacrificial Lambs.

I also think that this verse in 1 Corinthians is an Interesting one and deserving of closer examination:

1 Corinthians 11:23-29

King James Version (KJV)

23For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do Shew the Lord's Death till he come.

What do you think that means? Shew the Lord's Death till he come.

I think it means a Public Display. That we The Community of Believers should Publicly Show Our Belief in Christs RETURN by taking Communion Publicly (not privately and hidden) for All to see! Now, I do not mean out on the Towns Square (although that would be even better), but as a large group.
