Will the Sacred Transfiguration Mountain also be the Wilderness Sanctuary in Revelation 12:6,13-17??
Matthew 17:1-3,5: Jesus took with Him Peter James and John the brother of James, and led them up a *HIGH MOUNTAIN* by themselves. There He was transfigured before them. His face shown like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus about {Luke 9:31 adds: They spoke about his departure which He was about to bring to fulfillment in Jerusalem-See Acts 1:9-11!}.. A bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, �This is My Son, whom I love, with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!�
Note: Mount Hermon is the only *High Mountain* in Israel and is over 9,232 feet high. {The next highest is 1,900 feet high}
Shortly before the Transfiguration the Apostles and Jesus were in Caesarea Philippi in North Israel which is at the base of Mount Hermon. Mount Hermon covers the Northern border of Israel {See Deuteronomy 3:7,8}.
A particular noteworthy Mount Hermon site is Har Habturim. According to tradition this is where God promised Abraham that he would give the land to his descendants. An ancient tomb marks the spot, and huge oaks grow next to it.
The Hermon mountain range covers about 1,000 square kilometers and its name in Hebrew means �Mountain of the Chief�!!
Because of its great height it captures a great deal of precipitation in a very dry area of the world. Mount Hermon has seasonal winter and spring snow falls which cover all three of its peaks for most of the year. Melt water from the snow-covered mountain's western and southern bases seeps into the rock channels and pores, feeding springs at the base of the mountain, which form streams and rivers. These merge to become the Jordan River. Additionally, the runoff facilitates fertile plant life below the snow line, where vineyards, berries, and delicious apples on Mount Hermon are abundant.
Psalm 133:1,3: �How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!... It is as if the dew of *HERMON* were falling on Mount Zion {See Rev 14:1!!}. For there {On Mt Hermon!} the lord bestows His blessing.�
Psalm 89:1,11,12: I will sing of the Lord's Great love forever..The heavens are yours, and yours also the earth, you founded the world and all that is in it. You created the north and the south; Tabor and *HERMON* sing for joy at your name!�
2 Peter 1:17-19 : For He {Jesus} received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory, saying, �This is My Son, whom I love, with Him I am well pleased.� We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with Him on the *SACRED MOUNTAIN*!�
And so this is why many believe that the Sacred Mount Hermon will probably be God's Sanctuary in the wilderness during the 1260-day Great Tribulation.
NOTE: Satan is called a dragon and a serpent in the next text. The woman in Revelation is Sarah and her **OFFSPRING**{See Rev 12:17} are all the saints and Jesus as per Galatians 4:22-24,28,31:
�Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman {Hagar} and the other by the FREE WOMAN {Sarah}. His son by the slave woman was born in an ordinary way; but his son by the FREE WOMAN {Sarah}was born as a result of a PROMISE..Now, *YOU BROTHERS* like Isaac, are children {OFFSPRING} of PROMISE.. Therefore, BROTHERS, *WE* are not children {OFFSPRING} of the slave woman {Hagar}, but of the FREE WOMAN {Sarah}!�
NOTE: Satan is called the Dragon and the Serpent in Revelation 12:9 and so we will refer to him as Satan in the text below. The wilderness is sometimes translated desert in Rev 12:6, 13-17:
Revelation 12:6,13-17; 13:1,4-8 The {OFFSPRING of the} woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1260 days...When Satan saw that he had been hurled to earth, he pursued the {OFFSPRING of the}woman who had given birth to the Male Child {Jesus}. The {Offspring of the}woman was given two wings of a great eagle; so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, {Which is 1260 days or 42 {30-day months}out of Satan's reach.
Then from his mouth Satan spewed water like a river, to overtake the {OFFSPRING of the} woman and sweep her away with the torrent. But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that Satan had spewed out of his mouth.. Then Satan was enraged at the {Offspring of the}woman and went off to make war against the rest of her *OFFSPRING*�those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And Satan stood on the shore of the sea.
And I saw a Beast {666} coming out of the sea...Men worshiped Satan because he had given authority to the Beast....The Beast was given power to exercise his authority for 42 {30-day} months {Or 1260 days}. .. And he was given authority over EVERY tribe, people , language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the Beast�all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb."
And so the Sacred Transfiguration Mountain or Mount Hermon may also be God's Sanctuary in the Wilderness during the 1260-day Great Tribulation.. Moses and Elijah were present with the Lord during His Transfiguration on Mount Hermon {The Sacred Mountain as per 2 Pet 1:19} Will Moses and Elijah also be present for God's saints on that same Sacred Mountain {Which may be God's Sanctuary in the Wilderness!!} during the 1260-day Great Tribulation!!

Prophetic,
Do you think this is where the Jewish christians will be going, as a place of refuge, during the tribulation period? I believe G-d will protect his people wherever they are, I don't think we will be called to a specific place here in America, or are you referring to symbolical vs. literal interpretation.

This haven could possibly be a place where new or back-slidden saints {Both Jews and Gentiles} receive a month of Bible study and prayer before being sent out to spread the Gospel; and may have guest speakers like Moses and Elijah.**TRIBULATION UNIVERSITY** The location of this sanctuary will probably be on Mount Hermon in Northeast Israel:
The Offspring of the Woman {Sarah}in Rev 12:6,13-17 are not saved Jews only but all who are saved and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

The pre-tribbers claim that the "YOU" in Matthew 24:9 above are Jews only and that much of Matthew was only written for Jews like Matthew chapters 5-7. Which is of course completely ridiculous since Jesus said to His 11 Apostles in Matthew 28:19,20 �Go and make disciples of *ALL NATIONS*�teaching them to obey *EVERYTHING* I commanded you!�� {Read John 12:48 & John 14:23}� I John 2:3,4,6:� �We know that we have come to know Him {Jesus} if we obey His� commands.� The man who says, �I know Him,� but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him� Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.�
According to Rev 12:17 the Tribulation Saints will also �Hold to the testimony of Jesus!�
� Now the pre-tribbers claim that the phrase �His elect� in Matt 24:31 & Mark 13:27 refers only to Jews which is, of course, ridiculous and is refuted in Romans 10:12: �For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile�the same Lord is Lord of all.� Galatians 3:28,29: �There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise!!� Read Ephesians 2:11-22!! See �GOD'S ELECT� in 2 Tim 2:10, Titus 1:1 and 1 Peter 1:1,2.
Hebrews 11:39,40: These {OT saints mentioned in Heb 11:4-38} were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planed something better for US {NT Saints} so that only TOGETHER WITH US {NT saints} WOULD THEY {OT saints} BE MADE PERFECT.�{Receive new heavenly bodies-See I Cor 15:49-52 & Hebrews 11:10,14-16 & Daniel 12:1,2,7b}

We know that 666 will have authority over every nation {Including Israel} and tribe in the world for 1260 days according to Rev 13:5-8. And God's Sanctuary in the Wilderness as per Rev 12:6,13-17 will be the only place on earth that 666 will not completely control.
God's courageous Tribulation saints will not be able to buy or sell anything but God will miraculously take care of them just as he took care of and fed Israel for 40 years in the wilderness.
The 7 trumpet plagues and 7 bowl plagues and the plagues from Moses and Elijah will never hurt God's saints just as the 10 Egyptian plagues never touched God's people.
Revelation 16:4-6: The 3rd angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say" "You are just in these judgments, you who are the Holy One, because you have so judged; for they have shed the blood of your prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve."
