Matt 4:1-17 The Testing of Jesus: God lead Jesus to be tempted/tested of Satan. We will be put into situations where we will tempted to sin too. In marriages, jobs, college...we will be tested!! Life Is A Test!! The question is...are we going to pass these tests?? Jesus was led by the Spirit to be tempted/tested by the devil. Satan is the tempter, NOT God. But God allows this testing because: 1) We are tested to Strengthen Us. God loves us and wants us to be strong. 2) We are tested to Protect Us. We are tested so we can be protected in our future. The testing will reveal what is inside of us and if we do or don't have what it takes to pass the test. 3) We are tested to get Prepared. God wants us to be prepared for a great work of His. Proverbs 24:10 Our strength is small if we fail in times of trouble. So we get tested so we will be prepared the next time and be READY! 4) We are tested to give Hope to Others. People see that if we can do it then they know that they can do it too. Tests: major challenges, unanswered prayers, delayed promises, chaos in our life. **GOD WANTS US TO PASS THE TEST!!! I Cor. 10:13 God give us an escape route to endure and pass the test. BUT if we keep failing the tests and choose to sin, God will take a two by four piece of wood upside our head!! Don't provoke God to discipline us!! How Do We Pass the Test: Matt 4:1-11 1) Commit to do it God's way: Depend, surrender and obey God. This will make us able to pass the test and He will bless us, use us. 2) Take encouragement and wisdom from others: We need other Christians around us to support us, pray for us and encourage us. In 2009 we need to commit to embrace the process of God in our life. Amen Post Reply

TRULY THESE TESTS ARE REFINING ONES AND TOO, AND THOUGH THE PROCESS MAY BE LONG AND CHALLENGING, IT CAN ALSO BE UNEXPECTEDLY JOYOUS. GOD GIVES US PEACE WHEN HE KNOWS OUR HEARTS ARE RIGHT AND WE WALK IN LOVE AND TRUTH. GOD BLESS AND TAKE THE CHALLENGE! I WILL!:applause: Post Reply

Why would we be tested, if He already knows the result? Because you don't know yet. Testing is for you. To build your confidence. You have to be strong to be in God's army.
