Good example of one against the Lord Jesus:

Continually in an arrogant manner totally opposing the word of God, and calling it other than the word of God.
ET says:
The sinners prayer is a way for Confessing your faith to believe in the Lord Jesus Chirst with your mouth." For if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans chapter 10.
Mr.Bill:
Romans has been written by the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul to the BELIEVERS in YESHUA at Rome.
This book is not about HOW TO BE SAVED,this book is to those that are already saved in Yeshua.
The particular verse of Scripture which ET has posted, most of those professing to be a believer in Yeshua have heard this verse.
Maybe most have been told the same thing that she is spouting.
That a person is saved by what they say.
For if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans chapter 10.
Yet these same people do not give the full Scripture concerning the text.
For if left to just the confessing with the mouth,a person believes by what they have done, which is to confess.
Here is the full text.
Rom 10:8 But what does it say? "The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the Word of faith which we proclaim) Deuteronomy 30:12-14.
Rom 10:9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.
Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame." Isa. 28:16
Notice verse 10;With the 'HEART'which does include the mind/intellect,and passions.
One believes in their 'Heart' before they can make any type of CONFESSION.
So then,Salvation depends upon TRUSTING /FAITHING into Yeshua, and not confession.
Again another Scripture which has been misunderstood, misapplied and used wrongly to the destruction of many hearing these things.
2Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2Tim 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
Shalom
Mr.Bill
ps:
About repentance:
Mar 1:15 and saying, The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent and believe in the gospel.
One thing that was said by George that was true was the epistle of Romans was written to the church.
All else is born out of the flesh and mind of man in rebellion to the word of God as is continually displayed on this board.
The topic of discusssion is how is one saved in Romans 10:
Verse six the rightousness which is of faith speaks, it has a voice, and that voice speaking faith is not works but the law of faith, which believes from the heart unto righteousness, confesses with the mouth that it believes.
Verse 8 the word is nigh thee, even in the mouth , and in thy heart, that is the word we preach and the next verse tells that word, that is nigh thee in thy mouth and in thy heart.
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Again verse 10 with the heart man believeth and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
verse 14 confirms it all in this
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Yes the passage is to believers but it outlines clearly how one is to be saved, and responding to the gospel is not works as some would try to make you believe in their unbelief, it is an act of faith.
This word saved is in verse nine means to be delivered from among other things, and the sinner when he believes in his heart the truth concerning the lord Jesus and confesses Jesus with his mouth, he is then delivered from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of his dear son.
This teaching is in total agreement with the parable of the sower, and anything less that what was said is just gross unbelief.
