Posted : 29 Jul, 2011 07:14 PM ...to a member of your family or a friend�do you go over the History between you and them or the facts pertaining to what you are writing about? I submit to you that�no�you do not. Many things you feel they already know or �the facts� are clear to all concerned and it would be a waste of time and ink to go over them again. I bring this up because this is what the Authors of The Epistles did. They were Writing to people that were Friends and Family�Brothers and Sisters in Christ. There were things in those Letters that were Understood. Things that The Early Church was in a much better position to Understand. Things that we � 2000 years later claim to �know better� than The Early Church. Let me give you an Example: �I never said you stole the money�. There are 5 ways you can interpret that sentence! �No way!� you say. �Way!� I would reply. You would have to be Privy to the Author and the Situation to Understand it�s Meaning. It could mean��It wasn�t me that said that�it was my brother� or �I never Said You stole the money�I Hinted at it� or �I never said You stole the money�what I said was that Jerry stole the money� and so on and so forth. There is a Great Danger when we dispute what The Church has taken as Gospel since The Beginning because We Know Better�because we Now have a Better Interpretation. Post Reply

I was just Wondering if Christ had some Shepherds here or if they were all Sheep. Just Wondering if there were only "Cut and Paste" Mimics of The Word or if any had actually Consumed The Word and thus Understood it's MEANING and could therefore explain it in Their Own Words! Whoo! That was a mouthful! It just seems to me that some of us "Christians" feel that we Know Better than the One's that Bled and Died to Create Christiany. That we know better than those that Walked with CHRIST! Check if what you Spout as Gospel "Jives" with what The Church Believed 80...200...300 years after Christ's Death? See...now no one else will reply! Darn! Thought we could discuss this? Post Reply
