Why it would seems as though most and their agendas want to be right, and not hear what the word of God teaches.

That is because we all think we are "right" in our own minds...that is the sin nature, a perfect example of it, what we received from Adam's transgression.

michael

i am thinking this is so basic that 4 out of 5 people will disagree...LOL

Some of us are not confused. Some of us know church history, the rules of interpretation, and systematic theology.

Some of us are members of the local church, say the Apostles Creed, and believe the Westminister confession of faith.

The fact that we know what the early church believed, what the Reformers and Puritans believed, and that we agree, gives us confidence that we are "Contending for the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints. (see Jude)

In Christ,

James

Adam did not obey God, that transgression put into motion the fallen world in which we live, allowing every bad act known to man to enter the world (like murder, rape, child molestation, gambling, cursing..a big list for sure). Along with the fallen world, the sin nature of man abounded. We deal with our sin nature every moment of every day.

Do you remember Paul in Romans "who will deliver me from the body of this death". What that is referring to is how the death penalty was carried out sometimes in the Old Testament. A person convicted of the death penalty would have a dead body strapped to the convicted person body and released to die on his own.

In the Greek, it is clearer, "who will deliver me from this dead body", a reference to sin nature, a reference every one of the time, the time it was written, so everyone would understand.

I believe this helps, if not, feel free to write to me personally,

bless you,

michael chudzinski

Michael I believe it is important especially on a site such as this to be careful with our words and accurate, in referring to our sin nature as is the custom of some as not in light of the new birth.

When I was born again, that old man was buried with

Jesus in baptism, amen

Yep, right again...You are "justified", all those sins were buried with Christ...and the good news that if and when you sin, which will happen..because you and I and everyone in the Body of Christ will sin, again and again, prayerfully less and less as we move through our lives...well, all we do is recognize that sin or sin...thank God for forgiveness and we are in that state of "justification" in our minds again.

See we are justified, we are righteous, we are sanctified, we are redeemed...that is how God sees us, that is how God treats us...its when we think something that doesn't fall in line with that that the trouble begins...our thoughts do come and go, no problem there...the problem begins we we act on our 'bad" thoughts...those actions are sin.

bless,

micahel

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isaiah 57:15 KJV
