From memory "for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son..." sounds simple enough Ist Thess. 1:10 "and to wait for his (God's) Son from the heaven whom (God) raised from the dead even (in italics in KJ, so its an added word) Jesus..' sounds simple enough Romans 1:3 "concerning his (God's) son Jesus Christ our Lord..." sounds simple enough Romans 1:4 "and declared to be (both words in italics in KJ, added words) the Son of God..." sounds simple enough Ist corn. 1;9 "God is faithful by whom (God) ye were called (God did the calling) unto the fellowship of his (God's) Son Jesus Christ our Lord. sounds simple enough bless, michael Post Reply

This has been debated�analyzed�dissected and The Church finally came to that very Conclusion. There is a story about Saint Augustine where he was walking along the shore thinking about The Trinity when he came upon a child digging a hole in the sand. �What are you doing there child?� asked St. Augustine. �I am digging a hole so that the entire ocean will flow into it� answered the little boy. St. Augustine laughed and said �What makes you think that that little hole could possibly hold the entire ocean?� The little boy looked up at St. Augustine, smiled and replied �For the same reason that you think your small mind can hold the Mystery of The Trinity�. St. Augustine blinked; stunned by this child�s answer he turned around and walked away. After a few steps he turned around, wanting to know this remarkable child�s name�only to find that he had Disappeared! John 1:1-3: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God {The Father} in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made." Christians are commanded to worship God *ALONE* as per Rev 19:10 & Rev 22:8,9 and hundreds of other Scripture. Rev 5:13,14: Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the sea and all that is in them, singing: "To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb {Jesus} be praise and honor and power and glory, for ever and ever!" The four living creatures said "Amen," and the elders fell down and WORSHIPED! {The Lamb, Jesus} Hebrews 1:6-8: When God brings His firstborn into the world, He says, "Let all God's angels WORSHIP HIM!"....But about the Son He {JEHOVAH GOD} says, "Your throne, O ***GOD*** will last for ever and ever!" Rev 22:3: The throne of God {The Father} and of the Lamb {Jesus} will be in the City {The eternal New Jerusalem} Rev 3:21: Jesus says, "To him who overcomes:rolleyes: I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." There will be only TWO thrones for Jesus and His Father in the eternal New Jerusalem {according to Rev 22:3 above} and they are only TWO who should be worshiped both now and for ever and ever. Hebrews 1:8: About the Son He {The Father} says, "Your throne,**** O God****, will last for ever and ever.!!":applause: Isaiah 9:6,7: " For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, ***Mighty God****, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever." In eight passages, Jesus is described by the Greek word Theos (God): John 1:1-3; 1:18; 20:28; Rom. 9:5; Titus 2:13; Heb. 1:8; 2 Pet. 1:1; 1 John 5:20. Divine attributes, such as eternality (Isa. 9:6; John 1:1,2; Rev. 1:8; 22:13), omnipresence (Matt. 18:20; 28:20; John 3:13), omniscience (John 2:24,25; 21:17; Rev. 2:23), omnipotence (Isa. 9:6; Phil. 3:21; Rev. 1:8), immutability (Heb. 1:10-12; 13:8), and in general, every attribute of the Father is ascribed to the Son (Col. 2:9).
