People are happy to use knowledge gleamed from the scientific arts, for instance, polio vaccinces and what not. In fact a friend of mine who is 81 (yet younger than most people) takes so many pills that if you were to rattle him he would shake. He praises God for the treatments that he receives that allow him to live a full life (irrespective if they originated from Christians or not).

So then why should we not were information gleamed through similar means about relationships and love(irrespective if the knowledge came from Christian sources or not)?

My question here is if someone accepts the first type of wisdom and yet does not accept the latter then do they lack integrity?

There is information that is out there that will improve the chances of producing a particular outcome - in the initial realm of winning the love, and then the further for helping to ensure the longevity of a relationship.

As long as we have the right heart about using it, why shouldn't we use it?

Asher,

God has placed everything we as human beings who confess and profes Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior as Christians need to know in order to live a succesful life and lifestyle here on this earth in HIs word, and this includes everything we need to know about relationships and love as in man and woman...

But man has chosen to follow after his own hearts desire and do his own thing outside of what God has to say. Man would rather believe what other men have to say about relationships and love, than what God has to say.

This has nothing to do with integrity, this has to do with spiritual ignorance in godly matters, when seeking God's wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

The basic factor and operative word here of DISOBEDIENCE is called SIN!

When it comes to following God's word, man would rather be like Big-Mack, have it their own way, and then expect God to rescue them when they get heartburn (get in troubles) arise.

The Bible without the Holy Spirit can be destructive - as demonstrated by Satan in his attempts to use scripture to tempt Jesus. I disagree that the Bible is an instruction guide on how to live by itself; if you are saying that it is this with the guidance of Holy Spirit then certainly we agree.

It is an issue of integrity as all things are Godly matters. If we are prepared to accept knowledge from a scientific (trail and error) approach in one realm then not another arbitrarily seems to necessarily lack integrity. If the situations are different and deserve to be treated differently then this does not necessarily break integrity.

I have no doubts that information gain in regards to relationship may be applied evil intentions - this is like most if not all things. If this is what you are saying then clearly we agree.

What it means to live a successful life is a very interesting phrase. For instance are there principles that do not change however their application of these does according to the situation. Is medication a perversion of God's will or a blessing. I am sure that there are grounds for both cases. What about condoms? They would have no purpose outside of marriage if people were perfect. But we are not. What about condoms inside of marriage, is this a perversion of God's will? What about information about cycles of abusive, or knowledge about addictions? My understanding is at the very least that their formulative expression did not exist until recently (last century). Is is sinful to use this information? A person can write an entire book based on two verses such as the prayer of Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. Heck verses didn't even exist for a huge chunk of time. Paul after all became all things to all men. If the information about how the the dance of intimacy functions was to improve the marriages of our Brothers and Sisters, which it seems face value can only glorify God; why wouldn't we use it?

I appreciate that the question is not going to be appreciated because it trends through tender terroritory - but these are things that God has put on my heart to ask. And i am attempting to be as delicate as I can and the consequences of these are massive.

Asher,

Your comment is rambling to me... I mean whose preventing you from gleaming knowledge and wisdom from the world and mixing it with what God has to say about real wisdom and knowledge? If this is what you would like to do, then you make the choices. But what you speak sounds like the Judiazer and thier thoght about pleasing God and enterianing both the laws of Moses and the laws and teahcing of Christ doesn't it? ... think about it.

Since our citizenship is not of this world, you tell me whose knowledge and wisdom is best suited for lving on earth and the world to come... God's or man's? Therefore, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND... so what does this mean?

Of course, this is why relationships and everything else in our lives are so screwedup becasue we take hold of man's worldy wisdom and knowledg over what God has said.

And if you don't believe that God has put everything we need to live daily on this earth successful lives is written in the Bible , then I say to you, that I don't think you have a clear understanding of God's word of truth or know the word of truth for yourself, and maybe you should spend more QUALITY time study and reading God's word for HIS WISDOM and truth and not your own...

In order to be transformed in your mind, you must first be willing to get rid of what you think you have that YOU call wisdom, and change your directions, because man has no wisdom or knowledge above what God gives when we go in search fo God. Man has nothing on his own but the spirit of disobedience... Man's wisdom is void and null when compared to godly wisdom from God, and there is a difference.

And again, I say, everything we need to live our lives daily as sucessfully is all written in the word of God. I suppose it also depends upon what you classify and deem as being successful. Nevertheless, God tells us how to go about seeking a suitable mates and the role each the male and female are to play, and He gives us inw riting all that we need for good wholesome Christian living on this earth... Maybe you should start dancing to what God says true love and good living is all about according to His word, and go about doing things as to how He says one is to go about finding a suitable mate, and what one should seek in a possible mate, and then make sure you yourself are those things God requires a man to be BEFORE he finds a suitable mate, and not dance to what man says.

Man is already in problem believing what they say over what God has said about science and daily living, so where is the wisdom of man? Does it over rule the wisdom of God who has created everything that is on earth including man himself who thinks he has more knowledge and wisdom that God the Creator of all things?

I Corinthinas chpaters 1-7 might help you better understand and come into some wisdom that might put a dance in your steps in godly wisdom and knowledge from God.... readi and them come back and lets talk...then we can dance in God's wisdom and see what we come up with:dancingp:
