"During the tribulation a number of Christians may be killed by end time wars and natural disasters, plus what would seem to be natural disasters but is the manipulation of nature by man. Strictly speaking, though, martyrdom would not be death from war, or natural events, but would be the deliberate killing of Christians because of their profession of faith - and when the Christian establishment kills Christians, it is done because these Christians hold to doctrines that the establishment does not like."
Here is something I found today on the subject of the death of Christians at this point in time due to what appear to be natural disasters, like super tornadoes in Joplin, Missouri, swarms of tornadoes in the South and and others in areas not commonly known to have them, flooding, and probably food shortages this year from so much crop land under water for too long:

This site says "Moreover, the massive, swollen Missouri River will eventually empty into the Mississippi River, and this will place more water weight on the already overtaxed New Madrid Seismic Zone. That quote from the Bible above is from Revelation 11: 18. The end of the sentence is left out. It reads" "And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth." The quote is from the King James Version, not the Never Inspired Version (NIV).
There is more to this report that deserves quoting. "Clifford Carnicom then proceeded to identify and describe five areas of weather modification currently being conducted by the U.S. government as stealth operations." My comment: Clifford Carnicom is one of the foremost experts on the chemtrail operations which have been going on since the late nineties. Here is what Carnicom describes:
"ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING MODIFICATION AND CONTROL. The evidence now shows that the very physical nature of the atmosphere has been changed...The moisture levels of weather systems have been altered.
ELECTROMAGNETIC OPERATIONS/ Barium modifies the atmosphere electrically and the basic electrical properties of our atmosphere have been changed. Changes in heat and energy are at the foundation of life on this planet and all who dwell upon it.
MILITARY AND INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS HAARP (High Frequency Active Aural Research Program) is operated by the Air Force. HAARP is based on Bernard Eastlund's U.S. Patent number 4,686,605, "Method and Apparatus for Altering a Region in the Earth's Atmosphere, Ionosphere; and/or Magnetosphere." No wonder the site shown above cited something from the Book of Revelation, and this verse is highly relevant to man-made "natural" disasters

I have read a little about HAARP, wondering how much it has influenced all the unstable weather patterns. I have read about solar storms, EMP attacks and the New Madrid region. So many variables...
All I can say, is we are in the Father's hands and he will be with us, no matter what transpires. Guess we better get ready quick...:excited:
In late August 1859 the most severe solar storm ever witnessed began and lasted through the first few days of September. It produced vivid auroras in the night sky as far south as Cuba and was so bright campers in the Rocky Mountains got up in the middle of the night thinking daylight had arrived. During the storm telegraph operators felt as if some alien force had overtaken their equipment. Even disconnecting power to the wires failed to quiet their telegraphs. In some places the paper strip used to record the dots and dashes of Morse code caught fire because of the electrical surges coursing through the telegraph lines.
Today, the world we live in might be thought of as one big telegraph system composed of computer chips, telephone lines, fiber optics, cellphone towers, satellites, undersea cables and an electrical grid that supplies energy to the terrestrial parts of that system. An event as severe as the 1859 solar storm--called the Carrington Event after the respected British astronomer Richard Carrington who detected it as it developed--could cripple vast areas of the world, shutting down entire national grids not just for days, but possibly for months or years.
The simple fact is that most electrical systems and equipment including computers are not shielded to protect against such an event. One critical link, electrical transformers, would quickly be knocked out and would have to be replaced. Since few spare transformers are available, and it can take 12 months to build one, the world might have to wait years to fully recover--and that's assuming it would still be possible to produce new transformers which, after all, take electricity to manufacture. There is also the problem of what state modern civilization might be in if it faced months or years without electricity. Critical systems that pump and purify water and treat sewage, for example, would no longer function.
A fictional version of what all this might look like in our communities comes to us in a book by William Forstchen entitled One Second After. (For a brief nonfiction version of such an event, see this 2009 piece from New Scientist.) One Second After is set in the not-so-fictional town of Black Mountain, North Carolina where the author not-so-coincidently lives. It turns out to be a good choice of settings since Forstchen can give us an intimate portrait of a town and region he knows well while treating us to detailed but unobtrusive illustrations coming from his meticulous research into the effects of a total and prolonged blackout. To be clear, the cause of the blackout in the novel is the explosion of a nuclear weapon high above the Earth's surface over the continental United States, an explosion designed specifically to produce a crippling electromagnetic pulse (EMP). The effects of an EMP are in most ways similar to those that would result from another Carrington Event, and so the novel gives us a portrait of how such a disaster caused by either might unfold.
Perhaps the first thing a sensitive urbanite residing in the northern part of the United States will notice about One Second After is the number of guns produced by the novel's characters. But having lived in both the northern and southern parts of the United States, I can assure you that this would hardly raise an eyebrow south of the Mason-Dixon line where armory and home are very often one and the same. What is clear in the aftermath of the blackout is that order has broken down. Guns offer some protection and ultimately provide the force behind the small group of town leaders trying to guide Black Mountain through the worst disaster it will ever experience. The leaders succeed to a certain extent, but at a terrible cost as they are forced to put the mere survival of the community above all other values.
The story line of One Second After will probably not surprise you. The book is in the tradition of Alas Babylon, and as a reader, you will know right away where things in general are headed. So, the real questions are these: How will the main characters hold up under the strain? Will they retain their humanity? What kind of life will they be able to build for themselves?
The surprises in the novel for me were technological. As I followed the main character, John Matherson, through his traumatized community, I gradually discovered more and more things (beyond the obvious) that had been affected--things that I would never have imagined to be vulnerable or that I would never have even thought about. I will give you one example: commercial airliners. Surely, these would keep on flying since they run on liquid fuels, not electricity. Alas, the complex electronics in modern airliners freeze up after an EMP strike. And, that means that the thousands of them in the sky at the time would plummet to the ground or into the sea. There are no mechanical joysticks in such aircraft; everything is controlled by computers and electronics. As the story continues, the list of vulnerable gadgets and systems just keeps growing, and it is an awesome and disturbing one.
With all that is known about the potential for such a catastrophe, either through attack or through the normal, observable processes of the Sun, you would think that governments everywhere would be feverishly taking steps to harden critical systems. You would be wrong. Even in America where we have casually spent trillions of dollars on fruitless foreign wars in the last decade, the Congress cannot see its way to have the country embark on a program that might cost a couple hundred billion to guard against the known dangers of the Sun or even the unpredictable action of unfriendly nations (think: North Korea) that might use EMP to maximize the effect of their meager nuclear arsenals. In fact, the writer of the afterword to One Second After tells us: "A well-designed nuclear weapon detonated at a high altitude over Kansas could have damaging effects over virtually all of the continental United States."
My own view is that such an attack is an extremely remote possibility since it must still come from a nation-state and would easily be detected. This would ensure that the perpetrating country would be nothing but a cinder by the next day. Rather, I think the greater danger is the Sun, a body which is totally indifferent to notions of deterrence, but whose fury could be addressed through the hardening of our many vulnerable systems.
I do not think, however, that hardening the world's grid and electronic devices ought to be our top priority. We have the pressing problems of climate change, peak oil, soil depletion, water depletion, deforestation and myriad other critical problems to keep us busy. But, I find the topic of solar storms and EMP interesting because these phenomena offer a window into the tightly networked complex systems which bind the globe, the failure of which could quickly plunge humanity into another dark age starting with a horrifying dieoff of a large part of the population.
Making it rain via 'weather modification' is an old, well-understood simple chemical reaction. But that's a far-cry from creating tornados or earthquakes. Have to figure if that were actually possible, with two major wars on-going and being lost, there'd be unexplained 'freak' tornados all over Afganistan.
Climate change and warming of the atmosphere has the natural result of stronger storms as more moisture and warmth is being put into, held in the atmosphere, but that's all it is. Just as a hurricane strengthens over warm waters as happened during Katrina when it was a mag 3 over the Yucatan then as it passed over the Gulf of Mexico and picked up strength, became a mag 5.
If you're going to talk about this sort of thing, at least rely more on science textbooks than religious ones. Religious texts were written at least 1800 years before scientific truths we take for granted today were understood.
Jim McCanney, an astronomer who is not part of government or university controlled science, said recently that the unusual storm activity, including what he calls "hemicanes," or hurricanes over land, is in part caused by increased electrical activity of the sun.
Its hard to know whether an unusual event like the huge tornadoes that hit Joplin, Missouri were steered by men, or were the result of more general manipulation of the weather and electromagnetic activity in the atmosphere, plus some electrical activity from the sun.
What many now know and a few experts are studying is the capability of government to manipulate natural disasters.
The new definition of a conspiracy theorist - from George Orwell's 1984 Ministry of Truth - is that a conspiracy theorist is anyone who does not agree with what the government and the controlled media says. And many of these conspiracy theorists use the King James Version, don't believe what Osama Bin Lying says, don't go to church, don't go to doctors, and plant non-modified or Heirloom Vegetable seeds and would like to see Monsanto outlawed, along with the usury of Big Bankers, though some have knowledge that God is using Satan and his human minions of the elite to bring on judgment.
That electrical activity of the sun also causes the northern lights, and apparently the electrical activity can become massive at times and occasionally is aimed at the earth.
McCanney is the same guy who says the government has lasers in
satellites in orbit that are capable of steering the jet stream, and of storm systems.

What college science textbooks deal with the subject of how men might cause and steer much wider than usual tornadoes to a city like Joplin - if that was what happened? There are not any standard science textbooks that deal with this possibility.
Long quotes from the Internet by Nick Begich, an expert on HAARP, could be posted on CDFF, but no one would bother to read it and wouldn't understand it anyway. And Clifford Carnicom's work on Chemtrails in the sky and related info on data he and others have collected might be quoted. If anyone is interested, they can Google Nick Begich and Clifford Carnicom.
In addition, saying not to rely on the Bible ("Religious Texts") is not of faith, because God knows so much more than what mere human scientists know that it shows them to be pitiful morons. The Holy Spirit, however, has his men write in broad strokes rather than in exact detail so man can understand it in part.
A situation is gaining national interest due to investigative journalist and human rights defender known as Dutch Since, who specializes in HAARP weather warfare and unmistakably predicted this week's series of deadly southland's storms with extraordinary accuracy. He allegedly bases his predictions on HAARP rings and scaler squares that he documents on video using official US data.
On the 26th, Since presented geo-engineering information in a video that indicated areas in the south that would be hit. Over 250 people perished in the storms. ("Watch terrifying tornado footage from southern storms," Yahoo)
Geo-engineering, the artificial modification of the earth's climate systems, is an environment modification (ENMOD) science for "deliberate manipulation of natural processes - the dynamics, composition or structure of the Earth, including its biota, lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere, or of outer space that can be applied as a weapon of mass destruction." Little Rock Chief Meteorologist for KARK 4 noted to viewers odd formations during the special tornado warnings program a week before this week's killer storms:
Along with sending endearing comments of concern to his wife on the program each time a tornado neared their home, Chief Metorologist Francis repeated several times during the special program that evening that he had never seen such strangely forming tornadoes.
Viewers saw a particularly animated Chief Meteorologist that night when the map clearly indicated a tornado had formed on the east side of one of the many storms, rather on the typical west side in the direction it was moving.

According to his website, Since has specialized in HAARP signs so that people can know and predict for their best interest. People's best interest is not necessarily the same as the petrochemical-military-industrial complex interest or its aim for Full Spectrum Dominance, as the following passage about HAARP indicates:
