James, sorry, POIC, or Meanie, orMecy, or Bass-whoever:laugh:...but James he doesn't believe in church so this is why he comes up with all these off the hook questions.
I say this, no there weren't any bands as we know bands in the 1st century church, that is spoken of in the Bible, because this was not apart of God's purpose... He had already told us to make a joyful noise with string and other instruments praising His name in the Old Testament, so why would something like this change when it caomes to worshipping the Lord?
But I really do think you have need to read God's word for yourself in the book of Acts and yes, you will find that Peter stood up before the congregation on the day of Pentacost and preached the gospel... and Paul, James, and all the other apostles stood before the congregation in the synaguage and temple, even Jesus stood over the worship services and read the scriptures and preached...
So a James asked what's your point of reference that you're trying to make? Is it that its a sin to have music and instructments in the church? If so, why is it?
And if God appoint and place pastors and others over the church for the perfecting of the saints, if it were not necessary, why would He d such??
C'mon bass or POIC, Mercy, Meanie or whoever... OH, and BTW, STOP changing your name, I get confused as to what name I should address you... get somewhere and be still, call yourself "name with no name" or something, and stop confusing everybody...
you must have had a long drive over the road last night?
If there is no BIBLICAL EVIDENCE for what might happen when Believers meet together,
Then why do the christians practise them.
James replies:
Mr Meanie needs to PRACTICE spelling, and learn the rules of Grammar.
Your question is worded so badly you need to ask it again, and INCLUDE what you believe and the scriptural evidence for it.
Meanie rephrased:
Is there any Biblical evidence within the New Covenant for the following to be taking place.
Is there any mention of one man presiding over the meeting of the Saints.
I see the Scriptures talking of a PLURALITY of ELDERS,not one man namley PASTOR or SENIOR PASTOR.
1Tim 3:1 Stedfast is the word: If any one the oversight doth long for, a right work he desireth;
1Ti 3:2 it behoveth, therefore, the overseer to be blameless, of one wife a husband, vigilant, sober, decent, a friend of strangers, apt to teach,
1Ti 3:3 not given to wine, not a striker, not given to filthy lucre, but gentle, not contentious, not a lover of money,
1Ti 3:4 his own house leading well, having children in subjection with all gravity,
1Ti 3:5 (and if any one his own house how to lead hath not known, how an assembly of God shall he take care of?)
1Ti 3:6 not a new convert, lest having been puffed up he may fall to a judgment of the devil;
1Tim 3:7 and it behoveth him also to have a good testimony from those without, that he may not fall into reproach and a snare of the devil.
Titus 1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that the things lacking thou mayest arrange, and mayest set down in every city elders, as I did appoint to thee;
1Tim_5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
1Pe_5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
1Pe_5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
2Jn_1:1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
3Jn_1:1 The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
In the NEW COVENANT,Elders are mentioned about 60 times,

Meanie continues:
In the New Covenant,is there any mention of one man presiding over the meeting of the Saints.
James replies:
Yes.
Meanie says:
Where is this mentioned.
I still see the plurality of Elders is to be in place,as a means of keeping pride at bay,and to keep One man from usurping the Authority of Yeshua as the Head of HIS CHURCH/BODY.
Meanie continues:
Is there any mention of a 'worship band or worship team'
James replies:
No, and how in the world could this mean anything one way or the other?
Meanie:
ABBA did not leave man without any type of instruction as how He wants to be Worshipped.
Since YHWH has prescribed How He wants to be worshipped,
Could the people meeting together be out from under the Authority of YHWH.
Adam and Eve where out from under the authority of YHWH after eating of the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil.
With someone dictating to the people what they believe Worshipping Yeshua looks like,
Does this not undermind the authority and position of the Holy Spirit.
Does this not also undermind the authority of EACH and every believer.
1Co 14:26 Then what is it, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, he has a teaching, he has a language, he has a revelation, he has an interpretation. Let all things be for building up.
1Co 14:27 If one speaks in a language, let it be by two or three at the most, and in turn, also let one interpret.
1Co 14:28 And if there is no interpreter, let him be silent in the assembly, and let him speak to himself and to God.
1Co 14:29 And if there are two or three prophets, let them speak, and let the others discern.
1Co 14:30 But if a revelation is revealed to another sitting by, let the first be silent.
1Co 14:31 For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be encouraged.
1Co 14:32 And the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
1Co 14:33 For God is not of confusion, but of peace, as in all the assemblies of the saints.
Meanie continues:
Are Missionaries to beg for money.
IF-IF-IF,ABBA is sending someone to be a Missionary somewhere, will He not also Supply the necessary means for this to be accomplished.
Will He not also take responsibilty for the Protection, and provision of his Ministry.
Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
James replies:
This is tedious and silly. State your case and give scriptural evidence.
In Christ,
James
Meanie:
Are women to be silent/not say a word?
I believe women have been given the SAME gift as MEN,According to Ephesians 4:8

Therfore a WOMAN is able to be a PASTOR.
Yet she is not to USURP the Authority of man.
Nor is a Woman Biblically qualified to being an ELDER,seeing she is not able to be a MAN of ONE WIFE.HAhahahahaha
Unless she resides in NY,CT,CA etc.
Meanie
Is there a 'five fold' ministry which only a Few Select people are invovlved with.
Not according to Ephesians 4 and 2nd Cor.5
Eph 4:11 and He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as proclaimers of good news, and some as shepherds and teachers,
Eph 4:12 unto the perfecting of the saints, for a work of ministration, for a building up of the body of the Christ,
Eph 4:13 till we may all come to the unity of the faith and of the recognition of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to a measure of stature of the fulness of the Christ,
Eph 4:14 that we may no more be babes, tossed and borne about by every wind of the teaching, in the sleight of men, in craftiness, unto the artifice of leading astray,
2Cor 5:18 And all things are from God, the One having reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and having given to us the ministry of reconciliation,
2Co 5:19 as, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not charging their deviations to them, and having put the Word of reconciliation in us.
2Co 5:20 Then on behalf of Christ, we are ambassadors, as God is exhorting through us, we beseech on behalf of Christ, Be reconciled to God.
2Cor 5:21 For He made the One who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Is there 'Tithing'
Not in the NEW COVENANT:
Mat_10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
2Co 9:6 And this: the one sowing sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one sowing on hope of blessings will also reap on blessings.
2Co 9:7 Each one as he purposes in his heart, not out of grief or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. Prov. 22:8
Now remember,we the body of Believers are to be Under Yeshua, and Under The NEW COVENANT.
