A great falling away?Posted : 13 Jun, 2011 10:48 AM"Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition" 2 Thess. 2:3. A great falling away? Who falls away? The man of sin is also called the spirit of lawlessness. Today's economic tribulations may cause some to receive that spirit of lawlessness and abandon sound biblical principles like "do not steal" and choose to live for the "hear and now" instead of the "hear after." |

A great falling away?Posted : 14 Jun, 2011 06:07 AMI thought the great falling away also included christians, not just false teachers? I'm sure it includes them, but I did not know it was all inclusive. I think the reason why christians are critical is because we have the mind of christ, however, we should offer constructive criticism, "iron sharpens iron" and speak the truth in love. I think the great apostasy includes the teachers as well as christians and involves falling away from the word of God and believing in doctrines of man which describes a lot of the churches today. I don't like to judge other believers, but I think it better to be judged now than to fall into the hands of the living God. |
