respecting authority

I was listening to a semon on the radio this morning. a preacher was saying that a 2 year old child does not understand the dangers of the street. They will run out on the street if not stopped. Well, by learning the voice of the parent who speaks with authority the child learns not to go on the street.

In truth the parent may not even be a good parent but the child still has to respcet the parent.

It is very disrespctful to insult everybody you dosagree with by saying they are of satan or implying seriously that one sex is at fault with a certain issue. It is an act of spiritual immaturity.

I have noticed that even thou some of us disagree with a woman pastor on this site, you need to still threat that post with respect no matter how wrong or her over sized ego is.

She is a pastor in her church and we are required to respect that post. this is a hard thing to do because some have sought forgivness and were ignored. you are to forgive and expect nothing in return. god will deal with the person in question not you.

1Ti 2:12 ESV I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.

She has no authority so the issue is not about respecting authority.

That verse is often misquated, it was meant for a problem with new believers wives interepting the services in the early church and asking questions.

It was not meant to beat women down. Their is neither male nor female in heaven. Only in this world are their such things. The soul is neither white or black, or yellow, see my point.

Women are also called to minnister to other women.

Paul does write in another issue that older women are to address younger women. That is being a pastor to women.

Also, Debra was a judge over Israel, so you realize that God can change his mind when ever he wants to on such issues.

Maybe, he has changed his mind since the New tesament was written?

Dennis the word of God tells us to expose false doctrine, that is not calling any one a devil worshipper, they do that themselves if they adhere to the false doctrine.

Wow!

*awed in disbelief*

I can't believe I read this, from a Christian nonetheless!!!

Guess it is a sign of the times.

Hey Dennis:

Mal_3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

YHWH does not change His mind.

I second what Zaohagios said.:applause:

Should I ignore this "pastor" who makes a mockery of the men of God on this forum? -------- maybe

Should I respect things that God doesn't?------absolutely not!

Hezikiah was on his death bed dieing, The prophet came and said you are going to die now. the prophet left, hezikiah dieing as he was said Lord look at the things I havedone for you. he made his list, God stopped the prophet and said go back I have added 15 years on to his life.

It is in the word that God changed his mind. You can not deny the word. Deborah was a judge for many years. i do not make the rules god does. Esther was also the queen and she saved her people by Gods guidence.

i only needed those 3 examples.

repecting authority has been thrown out the door for convence to only accept what the church wants too accept. You still have to respect the office even if you do not respect the person. There is a difference. You guys are getting the 2 things confused. You are not required to respect the person but there office.
