I received some private mail from T about some observations she had about the "feud" in the Bible Section...to which I did agree.

This post is NOT about the feud but rather a observation about such feuds in general, so please don't turn into a "drama thread"

I took the liberty to take her thoughts, add some of mine and put it in my words...(hope you don't mind T)

-------------

When it is just men arguing and debating it seems as no big thing. But why does it gets weird when women get involved...not all women mind you, just some...take 'Saved' for instance; very knowledgeable and respectful of others and a pleasure to discuss with even when there is disagreement. However some women are very disrespectful of men.

Isn't it odd how men can argue with one another,

and women can disrespect each other,

and it is not as big a thing as.....

....men arguing with women and women disrespecting men.

The Bible is right again, imagine that!

Mat 7:1 Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.

Mat 7:2 For you will be treated as you treat others. [fn] The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. [fn]

Mat 7:3 "And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye [fn] when you have a log in your own?

Mat 7:4 How can you think of saying to your friend, [fn] 'Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,' when you can't see past the log in your own eye?

Mat 7:5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend's eye.

Please, river, show some respect, I specifically asked that this post NOT be turned into a drama thread about the feud currently going on. Why do you continue to push?

Something about it just doesn't feel right to me...a woman stepping up to argue with a man. Discussing matters?..Yes, of course! :)

To go further, I feel it's a woman's responsibility to correct a woman if that's possible. If a woman doesn't take correction from another woman, then a man should step in.

Maybe it's just a personal matter with me? Does anyone else feel this way?

I agree T, however what happens when a woman that is in need of correction refuses it even from, or especially from a man?

Or are there some that believe the man woman thing is irrelevant today, even though the Bible says different and one can feel it in their bones.

Sure the Bible says we are all equal in Christ; no free, no slave, no Jew, no gentile, no male, no female,

......but isn't there God ordained roles?

....wasn't Satan and his angels judged for abandoning there roles and taking another?

.....wasn't this the sin of Eve, abandoning her role for the role given to Adam?

I think this sin is still actively engaged in today. However what surprises me is how many Christian women participate in it --- don't they know better?

It is also interesting that many of these Christian women put themselves over even celestial beings, in other words, except for God himself they have no equal.

Wasn't that the temptation? : "you shall be like God"

If they submit, who is it to? ..only to God?

....does the Bible teach submission to God only?

Yes, T, I feel the same as you do concerning this. I don't believe any of the women in Jesus' day came up against the men. I know in the Old Testament, There was Jezebel , Delilah, etc. John the Baptist was beheaded at a woman's request. But if there is scripture to show it's okay for a woman to confront men and not get a brother to do it, please show me.

1 Corinthians 11:3 - It's the order.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.

Take God, Christ, and a Godly man, and we women have a great protection and covering. This doesn't mean that all men will be godly. But it is still the perfect order. God created it to be as such.

T, I understand what you're saying and feel much the same way. If a man is a Christian, allowing Christ to be the head of his life, to me it would seem not only unnatural, but sinful to step up and get into a mans face as if you had authority over him. Now don't think this means I'm not capable of doing so... I know I am because I know what my sinful self is capable of doing. But would I do it? Nah. It wouldn't prove a thing, other than when I sin, I can sin with gusto. But seriously, looking at the order of things, when, as a woman, you step up to a man in authority and without respect, you step up to the head above him as well.

And, two, I totally agree! For a woman to usurp authority over a man or even WANT to just seems wrong. I feel it in my heart and bones. Lol---- Great teaching in your post.
