Okay, real answer ; PRAY for it and as the Holy Spirit reveals your weakness and shortcomings humility will come naturally.
It is easy to be humble if you compare yourself to how God desires you to be, it is when we compare ourselves to others it is easy to be proud, especially if we choose the right people...lol.
I also find that obeying the law outwardly tends tocsuse pride to manifest.
Difficult (but good!) question. Who doesn't struggle with this? And if they think they're above this struggle, then that's a prideful statement right there! Ha!
Two made some good points. Comparing yourself to God's perfect standard is definitely useful. For me (as a girl), journaling (or just making lists) of that sort of thing can help. I tend to write when I'm all depressed and angsty and going through rough stuff anyway. So, if I ever start to think how wonderful I am, I can look back on some of the writings and recall my bad attitudes and such.
Sometimes, serving others can help, though it can sometimes have the opposite affect! Serving disadvantaged folks can help you realize your own blessings, which, for me anyway, is humbling -- to see that this great God has given me so much stuff that I don't even remotely deserve.
Let's see... what else...
Um...
There are a couple of links I'm thinking of. Rather than trying to rewrite it all here, I'm going to message you the links, okay?
I don't think there's a lot a person can do to 'make' themselves humble. God said If my people will humble themselves, etc. We just need to Hit our knees and call out to Him. I don't think humbleness is a gift of the Spirit, but it should be! LOL Two had a great answer. I do believe when we completely yield to the Holy Spirit, humbleness will come naturally.~~~~~~~~~ I don't see many beating down the door to offer advice, fisherofmen. LOL

The following are two teachings of Yeshua concerning Humility.
I would like to speak on the second one.
Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
Mat 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
Mat 23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
Mat 23:6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
Mat 23:7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
Mat 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Mat 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
Mat 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Luk 18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
Luk 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Luk 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Luk 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
The publican is aware of his condition and his position before YHWH.
His condition is that he is a sinner verse 14
His position was that of one being under judgement for his sins and life.Again verse 14
Grace runs downhill never up the mountain of pride.
