Vanity And the Fear of God...

God is the author and origin of the Holy Bible's teachings, not man. But God has not addressed every problem of life according to the way we would like for Him to have done, ONLY the important things that man should do to live a successfu and prosperous Christian life on earth. But He commanded man to live jyfully, responsibly, amd wisley. And has let us know that the most important things man can do is FEAR GOD and submit to His will and what He has revealed to us in His Holy Word for our lives in all things, and everything else will fall into place.

If we should eb blessed to grow and go from out touth into old age, it is a blessings of, and from God.

What are the stages of growth from youth to old age that God has so laid out for us in His holy word?

"od is the author and origin of the Holy Bible's teachings, not man. But God has not addressed every problem of life according to the way we would like for Him to have done"

--------------------

This statement reveals you have tried to make the Bible more than Ged intended. The Bible is to lead us to Christ who fills us with His Spirit that not only directs us how to live, but empowers us to live as He leads.

2sparrow you did not complete what I stated in the avoue statement and see if your response is qualified as a proper understanding as to what I said.

In this statement I said, "The most important thing that God man can do is fear God and submit to His will and what He has revealed to us in His holy Word for our lives in all things, and everything else will fall into place."

So tell me how is it that I have tried to do as you supposed in your response. Do you understand fully my statement, or is your comments just something you thought sound good?

My question is as to how God has laid out our path from youth to old age, according to that which is found in His holy word, becasue he has given us a means that justify the end, and an end that justifies the means, He calls vanity.

God exhorts us to know that no matter what man has accomplished in his life, and no matter how youthful a person may be there is an end to come if one should be so blessed to live to old age, which is the end.

And He has also laid out the process of aging for our edification so that we will not be unaware to those physical changes that will take place as we grow from our youth toward that end.

But the most important thing a person can do is to fear God.

So I'm asking how does God describe old age, and why does He call our youth vanity?

If God gave you a road map from youth to old age why would you ask for a Counselor? I think one would be tempted to say; 'Thanks God for the written map, I'll take it from here, see ya when I get to heaven!'

ETbn,

I usually have no idea what you are speaking about; however in this case I presume you are in Ecclesiasticus talking about heights, windows, grinders and grasshoppers.

and 2sparrow, you didn't assume this you GOOGLED THIS, because had you known in the beginning you would have come forth in your first post:ROFL:

Now that you've found it, explain it, and its okey to quick read and paraphrase your comments according to what you read, just explain how all this fits togetherfor those who do not know, and for the sake of the discussion...

2sparrow, I realize you don't know or understand half of what I'm speaking about, because it must be spiritually discerned throough the Holy Spirit... unless its a topic that you can goolge and quick read for a paraphrased response, and if it ain't found in a goolge search, there are usually no responses...

No I didn't google it Miss ETbn, I actually read the Bible instead of watching TD Jakes. Ecclesiastes is a favorite of mine, yet rather it is depressing chasing after the wind; much like conversing with some on this forum lately. I can give you any kind of answer right or wrong, it doesn't matter; you're just looking for some one to correct so I think I'll pass thank you.
