I believe there is a society within the body of Christ that is using the body of Christ for heir own purposes.
They are seeking the riches of this life and maybe not the true riches of the Kingship of GOD.
Mat 6:33 but seek ye first the reign of God and His righteousness, and all these shall be added to you.
If ABBA is willing,it would be an honour to post each day one or two Scriptures these people use in oder to fleece the flock.
I would give the Scripture and then post the understanding
that is appropriate.
I will give from both the Old,and New Covenants.
The Word is to be understood the same today as it was understood back then..
No change, seeing as the Word does not change.
If anyone wants to throw rocks, please use pointy ones, the round ones only leave bruises.hahahahahahahahahahaha
Also in these posts H-W;
will be standing for Health and Wealth (ers)
Psa 37:4 And delight yourself in Jehovah, that He may give you your heart's desire.
The H-W,like to quote the last part of this Proverb, yet most of the time never proclaim the first part.
If they do, they do not unserstand the Hebrew language this is derived from.

delicateness, have delight self, sport self
A primitive root; to be soft or pliable, i.e. (figuratively
Here then is a viable understanding of Psalm 37:4
Be soft and pliable as clay, and YHWH will give into your heart desires which you should desire.
No man, woman,or child has ever been born with any desires to knowing GOD.
Unless He gives to man desires for Himself, man would only deisre evil.
Gen 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Jer 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
If you are tithing, then yo have not begun to understand the Gospel.
Tithing is the Old Covenant, being under the law.
This is what the NEW COVENANT says.
Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
2Co 9:5 Therefore, I thought it necessary to exhort the brothers, that they go forward to you and arrange beforehand your promised blessing, this to be ready, thus as a blessing and not as by greediness.
2Co 9:6 And this: the one sowing sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one sowing on hope of blessings will also reap on blessings.
2Co 9:7 Each one as he purposes in his heart, not out of grief or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. Prov. 22:8
In the Old Covenant there was to be a 3 year tithe.
Deu 14:27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
Deu 14:28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
Deu 14:29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
At the ened of three years a person took account of all he had and gave a tenth of this.
How much would be given by the people on the TV and Radio if this was still in effect.
Bahira, please do not place yourself under the law after this manner.
If you do,then you will be abligated to having to keep the whole law,
And we know what is written about this.
Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Christ came to set us free from the law,not to bring us back under its authority.
George not even close to posting the truth, first consult the truth the word of God, my God never changes and the tithe was his from the beginning and it still is his, but some choose to steal his tithe.
By the way George he does not change because of a covenant, covenants change, the lord does not.
Unless people make a distinction between the Old Covenant pattern and the New Covenant pattern; it will be very confusing.
For instance the tithe question that was already asked :
Old Covenant ~ first fruits means first fruits...(gross)
New Covenant ~ Give from your heart.
The Old Covenant basically promised if you do such and such you will be blessed in this world, if you fail you will be cursed.
The New Covenant basically promises you will be blessed in heaven and will experience blessings, persecutions and discipline in this world as God deems best.
Okay two, back to the drawing board not close, the tithe was never considered as giving, because the tithe is the lord's, what you made mention of his giving, giving is that given by those over and above the tithe.
Now if one understands tithing of course it is not covenant bound it is truth, and it is not man's ordinance it is the lord's.
If one wants to walk in truth: you can go back to this truth and then forward to the new covenant.
Gen 14:17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the kings dale.
14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
14:21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
14:22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
14:23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
Then if you want to find this in the new covenant you go to the book of Hebrews it is very clear to those that wanna know the truth, from the fifth ch on.
Good word PJ, and Christians don't tithes for the same reasons as was done in the Old Covenanat... Christians tithes according to Ahraham for the blessings and by fait willingly. The people of the Old Covenant had to give tithes offerings for the care of the poor people and the priests of the cities of refuges, of everything they had, which came to more than 10%. The priests were to take what the people had given and take out their position for living expenses, and divide the rest to the poor and needy. The tithe offerings were God's plan to help the poor. Abraham gave tithes for a blessings, and this is the principle under which Chirstians pay tithe offerings by faith. God has not stopped blessings those who give whether you believe in tithing or not. Hebrews chapter 7.
God did not establish the law of tithing until AFER Abraham had given his tithe of the spoil to Melchizadek for a blessings. God has nott stop blessing those who tithe or who do not tithes but freely give according to what they have and can afford. 2 Corinthians chapter 8-9...
