Shadrach, Meshach, AbednegoPosted : 22 May, 2011 07:51 AMYes, I have always been skeptical and amazed at the same time about the appearances of the pre-incarnate Christ...yes fascinating! |

Shadrach, Meshach, AbednegoPosted : 22 May, 2011 07:54 AMAmazing account of the Lord in the midst of those who trust in Him. I can't even imagine what it must've been like to be taking a stroll in the midst of an inferno, while talking with the Lord in His presence. Imagine the look on Neb's face seeing this. |

Shadrach, Meshach, AbednegoPosted : 22 May, 2011 07:57 AMTwo, just curious as to your remark about being skeptical about the appearances of the pre-incarnate Christ. How come? |

Shadrach, Meshach, AbednegoPosted : 22 May, 2011 08:52 AMWell... there is a number of them and each one is speculative as in it never really comes out and says, of course in all fairness it would be difficult to identify someone you didn't know. However if you notice in the passage posted it says. "one LIKE the son of God" (just going off memory, you may want to double check me on this) |

Shadrach, Meshach, AbednegoPosted : 22 May, 2011 09:17 AMYou're right, Two~~~ That is what it says. ~~~~~~~ He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. (Daniel 3:25) |

Shadrach, Meshach, AbednegoPosted : 22 May, 2011 09:42 AMIn one of Daniels visions, he states he saw one like the Son of man.... Of course there is no doubt that it was Christ he saw because of what occurs in his vision, but I would tend to think that we can't discount the appearances of the pre-incarnate Christ because Neb or Daniel spoke of seeing one like the Son of God or like the Son of man. In either case it was divine revelation. |

Shadrach, Meshach, AbednegoPosted : 22 May, 2011 10:38 AMHere's another one to think on... How about the times an "angel of the Lord" appeared, and the context seems to describe the 'angel' as the Lord Himself? |

Shadrach, Meshach, AbednegoPosted : 22 May, 2011 01:08 PMJust to throw a spanner in the works (sorry), don't forget when nasty ol' Neb is talking about god, he doesn't necessarily mean the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob - he would have his own god(s). Even so, he recognised the fourth person as being, well, different... |
