According to some, the rapture will occur tomorrow.
I don't take much stock in that because I believe that the Bible is clear about us not being able to predict the date of Christ's return.
However, it does make me wonder if I am ready.
Sure, I've accepted Christ as my savior. I've said the prayer. I know right from wrong. I do the best I can to follow His commandments. I pray in the evenings, and I focus on Him and consider his will and his wisdom when I need to make dangerous choices.
What I don't do is read the Bible enough. I don't have much of it memorized, at all. Not even Psalms 23, and I know atheists who know that one.
Although I do not believe Jesus will arrive tomorrow, I must accept that he could come tomorrow. And if not, the 22nd is definitely a possibility (because nobody is saying that that is the date he will return).
So I have a little bit of the fear of the Lord in me right now. I doubt anything will happen tomorrow, but I am still second guessing my strength as a Christian and the strength of my relationship with God through the only piece of him that I have in my possession, the Holy Bible.
So I've been scoping out more books to read and thinking of doing my own personal Bible study, just me and God, not me and a crew of other folks. I want to make sure that I am ready. I know I'm a sinner and hopelessly damned without Jesus, but I don't always say, "be all that you can be anyway, tinyfrog."
I usually meekly say, "Christ has your back! Go do something stupid!"
I mean, that's not exactly the case, but maybe you get the point. Maybe you don't.
Whatever your beliefs about the 5/21 apocalypse prediction, has it caused you to reassess your walk with God?
This sinner stuff, let us see what ABBA says about you and everyone trusting christ to be saving them from the 'Wrath of GOD'.
Mat 5:13 You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt becomes tasteless, with what shall it be salted? For it has strength for nothing any more but to be thrown out and to be trampled under by men.
Mat 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city situated on a mountain cannot be hidden.
Act 1:8 but you will receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you, and you will be witnesses of Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
1Cor. 1:2 to the assembly of God which is in Corinth, those having been sanctified in Christ Jesus, called-out saints,
2 Cor 5:17 So that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!
2 Cor 5:18 And all things are from God, the One having reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and having given to us the ministry of reconciliation,
2 Cor 5:19 as, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not charging their deviations to them, and having put the Word of reconciliation in us.
2 Cor 5:20 Then on behalf of Christ, we are ambassadors, as God is exhorting through us, we beseech on behalf of Christ, Be reconciled to God.
2 Cor 5:21 For He made the One who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
1 Pet 2:9 But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6
1 Pet 2:10 you who then were "not a people, but now are the people" of God; "the one not pitied then but now pitied." Hos. 1:6, 9 2:1, 23
Campings is an old man who means well and thinks he is a prophet. He owns over 100 christian radio stations all over the world.
I heard him in an interview today and he said the Judgment Day will start around 9 AM on Saturday. So I suppose its going on somewhere overseas.
Well, does that mean it has already started in Jerusalem since we are told in scripture that Jesus is going to plant His feet in her mist? But wait, I thought when Jesus plants His feet in the mist of Jerusalem the whole wolrd would become as one?
Maybe its a time zone problem going on somewhere...
you can read Campings articles on his site that he has written stating he has proof based on scripture May 21sy is Judment Day. Only a few hours left for some. I think his family should consider a rest home for him... I use to listen to him on the radio, but he was too off the hook for me... he has great men of God program on his stations but his program he host is in left field....
The prediction for tomorrow has not affected me at all, other than I just kinda shake my head and sure hope the world doesn't put all us Christians under one blanket, thinking we are all as crazy as the one crazy enough to announce the date of the rapture and end of the world. Again.
I try daily to reassess my walk with Christ. In all my failings and disappointments in myself, I know without a doubt that I am saved and that He which has begun a good work in me will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
We should be more concerned and in prayer for those who have bought into this ; that their eyes of their heart would be enlightened and they will place their faith in God and not man. I am a little concerned what will happen to these people when they realize it is not happening tomorrow; idk maybe some will take their own life? I hope not.
Btw the Bible is not the only piece of God you have in your possession ; you have the Holy Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing your salvation
Of course.....If you read your Bible you'd know that...
Don't buy into the manmade hype that Jesus will return today. That concept contradicts God's Holy Bible. His Holy Bible states that no man knoweth the day nor hour of the return of the Son. By the way the only one that knows the return of the Son is the Father not even the Son knows his return. How can mere man be so prideful and think they can know like God the return of the Son. They can't because the Bible says so.
Jesus will most certainly return and it's on a day we least expect. Jesus will return like a Thief in the nite. We must all be prepared for his return each and every day...not just one day evey decade like year 2000 and now May 21st.
There have been predictions of possible earthquakes tomorrow and man media is trying to use that to tap into people's fear factor that Jesus is returning on May 21 when he's clearly not.
On the bright side if people are reassessing their walks with the Lord because of all this media frenzy and hype then pray that's a good thing and that more souls are won for Jesus.
Trust in Jesus and he will alert u to man's lies and give you true peace that when ur time on Earth is over where ur going.
Pray that everyone on here will be saved so can have one giant party for Jesus in Heaven.
Well I am still here, however in all fairness it is not 6 pm yet. I was worried about who was going to feed my horses and dogs tomorrow morning, but feel better now that I have that all worked out....
....I preached the Gospel to all of them and as near as I can tell they accepted and baptized them all last night The dogs were immersed with in water with a bit of flea dip; don't want fleas in heaven! And the horses were sprinkled.
I can rest easy now that I know we're all goof together!
Oh yeah, btw I hope you all make it too! For those in a time zone ahead of me; wait at the gate for me and we can ride the rest of the way together!!!
I really could've used to be raptured at 6 rather than be badgered by customers while trying to fix the burn machine and figure out the orders for the next week. Bleach.
I used to go to a church where the pastor would occasionally get overly anxious and excited about something that just happened on the world stage as if by it he could predict that something was going to happen immediately. I found his anxiety kind of odd considering he believed in a pre trib rapture lol.
We're called to abide in Christ, not to obsess over these things. It's funny how anyone who purports to know Jesus can be even be remotely infuenced by a supposed rapture prophecy, considering Jesus Himself said that nobody knows the day or hour except for God the Father.
