If you were posting sharing the Jewish perspective, Jewish insights, explaining the meaning of Jewish Feasts and expounding on the shadows that point to Christ; I would be singing your praises and yelling Hallelujah! Cause I Love that stuff!
However....
.....You post primarily on keeping the Law and indirectly condemn Christians to second class citizens in the Kingdom of God for not keeping the law as a Jew. This is so NOT the New Covenant that Jesus paid with His life to establish and reveal.
Yes, I could go on a Scripture posting campaign on Grace and the New Covenant, however I do not think you are ignorant of them but reject them in favor of Law keeping.
This is a choice that it up to you, however when you preach it here and I read it, it is up to me to stand up and say it is Not the Gospel.
I'd just like to add another reason Two is the way he is. It's because false doctrine doesn't fly with the Holy Spirit within him. Thank God for ya, Twosparrows! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'd like to know why those who claim to be so Loving and Holy but AREN'T are the way they are? The forked tongues on this forum say one thing in one thread and the opposite in the next. Lol Do they think their high horses are invisible? NOT! One thread they praise you, the next they condemn you. Ahhhh~ the confused life double-minded women must live! Thank the Lord His Grace Is Sufficient For Me!
no no nothing personal i don't get mad and steam and say bad things but sometimes you put words in my mouth Two
i am not saying that anyone has to be Jewish i have actually said that before(THAT THEY DON'T),,i just get tired of saying the same thing over and over
NO ONE has ever been saved by ANYTHING but GRACE before after MESSIAH but what your doctrine has done brother and it happens to so many,,is that you now separate what MESSIAH did not separate ,,MESSIAH kept these Feast HE kept them and fulfilled some of them and it is very important that you understand them!!
I WILL SAY THIS LOUD IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU KNOW THEM!!!
I am trying to show you that the Feast have never changed and if MESSIAH is coming back to fulfill the FALL FEAST and you know nothing about them then how are you going to know what is going on,,it is not about salvation i believe brother that you LOVE MESSIAH and YHWH,,,you have shone the most respect to me in the past here than most but we are both very passionate people and we will butt heads and in turn be butheads hahaha
your right though in your post i should be telling you about the Feast ,,so i will do so,,
Two i hate harping on the Law all the time,,i wish that we could all understand that the you can love MESSIAH and be under HIS grace and still DO AS HE DID and keep the Law and the Feast and then we could move on but everyone wants to make it separate and say it is one or the other when it is really both
now see as soon as you put that "keep the Law" people automatically start thinking and posting about the things they CAN"T do like the FATHER was just out to be mean to the people who HE gave the Law too,,why would HE give us the Law in the first place? Was it to be mean? No GOD forbid! NO the Law is as it was then,it teaches us how to live together, and points us to MESSIAH ,what laws govern you ? the laws of man? are not the Laws of GOD better and more just? the Torah teaches us to live together but it also tells us to be obedient to the FATHER and HIS HOUSE RULES,,do you honestly think that an obedient SON tells you to break HIS FATHERS HOUSE RULES? NO brother that is what christian doctrine has taught you,,i am not saying that i know everything or that people have to live my way to be free or saved,,,we keep the Feast different all over the world because the FATHER tell us guidelines on when where and what to do but there is lots of freedom in how and what we do in our houses,,like some do things different than others in the way they celebrate and that is fine,,we are not going to the temple because our bodies are the temple now,,,
the commands are being written on my heart more and more and i will share with you something that has been the biggest best blessing,,,when i started keeping Shabbat i kept it according to what i thought GOD wanted,,i was very strict and did almost nothing but go to service and fellowship,,,i was wrong ,,i found myself almost wanting to sit still on Shabbat as to not do it wrong hahaha but that is what happens when you start to try and understand something that you have never known ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR MAIN EXAMPLE IS RABBINIC(and we all know about being too rabbinic),,you take it too far,,,so i realized this and i started to see how MESSIAH moved around on Shabbat and healed so i started to move around and heal (not the way HE did but doing good) so now i look so froward to my Shabbat it is by far the best part of my week it really is a blessing,,,i go to the store before sundown i get a nice meal and i get some grape juice( cause i don't drink) and i get some nice bread,,i fix the meal so that it is done right at sundown and i turn everything off and tell the world it has to wait,,,I then break bread with YHWH and i drink the wine(blood) with YHWH and we talk and spend time together,,yes you can do this anytime you want but my FATHER has asked me to come to HIM on this day and never has it been changed i have shone that in Scripture to you all,,,so Shabbat is our time me and YHWH and i love it!! i think about what MESSIAH did and how HE spent all night in prayer sometimes and then when HE healed it was quick He said do you believe i can do this and then HE said you are healed,,that quick,,but what took so long was prayer,,i go to HIM i say here are my problems from the week,,and that is it there they are so we leave them there and i praise HIM and thank HIM,,i pray for you and James and all the rest of the people on here and many others,,,i am not mad at you ever
i just want you to see that MESSIAH has no doctrine brother HE is not reformed christian,, HE is not denominational and if you bet on that you will be so thrown for a loop when things start and have started brother ,,you look at syria that is where Scripture says the anti-messiah comes from,,i read the papers over there 2 times a day,,watching! if you know the Feast you see so clearly what is happening and it will not get you like a thief in the night
i am sorry for the way sometimes that i am,,i just want that even if you don't get it now soon you will and these post and words will ring in your ears and brother you will find me and i will be here to help,,but if i am wrong then i ill be looking for your hand as well,,(i have to say i know i am not wrong hahaha,,not that i am right about everything)
brother if nothing else i want you to see that when i post Scripture that backs up what i am saying,,we should take more of a look at it,,cause what i have seen over and over is that when peoples doctrine gets challenged they turn the other way to the messenger
brother i love you and i am excited that this forum is so hot right now,,we do need to get heated sometimes but know this brother NO MATTER WHAT I SAY TO YOU IN HEAT,,I STILL LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND I WOULD HELP YOU ANYTIME BROTHER I KNOW YOU LOVE MESSIAH AND I KNOW WE ARE BOTH HIS BODY SO PEACE TO YOU BROTHER THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU IT IS WHO YOU ARE AND I WOULD NEVER WANT YOU ANY OTHER WAY(and that goes for Sir James too i love you too brother and you have my help anytime you need me)
Wow icebro, that was a pretty awesome post. What can a person say except you have heart, courage and convictions, very admirable in todays wishy washy world. And it is obvious you have heart for God.
Yes I sometimes stretch what you say, maybe even putting a few words in your mouth; only to draw you out cause I have the feeling that you are not sharing all, but rather hold back what you really believe.
I see the disciples of Jesus struggling with some things after Pentecost. They had lived with Jesus under the law then in a matter of days Jesus left them, the righteous requirements of the law were met, the Holy Spirit given, the New Covenant was put officially in force Israel was set aside for a time and the time of the Gentiles began. While they were trying their best to do things how Jesus used to do them, Jesus through the Holy Spirit was on to doing new things. It took a while for the Disciples to grasp this at first. This is probably why God used Paul as He did; since Paul had not walked with Jesus, he did not try to do things the old way before the cross but was freed to the new way of the Spirit.
I agree there is much to learn from the feasts, however they should be a joy, not a obligation.
I honestly look forward to the day when you begin to share how the feasts point to the Messiah and other spiritual truths. As for the Law, there is no life in it for the mere human, it only brings death and condemnation, but the Spirit brings life to the mere human and there is no condemnation in Jesus.
The feasts of Israel not only point to Christ, but they have been fulfilled in Christ.
Mat 5:17 `Do not suppose that I came to throw down the law or the prophets--I did not come to throw down, but to fulfil;
When a person trust Christ, then as an heir of GOD and a co-heir with Christ.
Everything Christ had said or done is IMPUTED unto me as though i had done all He had accomplished.
Galatians 4:4-7
Gal 4:4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law,
Gal 4:5 that He might redeem the ones under Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:6 And because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba! Father!
Gal 4:7 So that you no more are a slave, but a son, and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ.
A believer in Christ does not keep the law in order to become Justified or to become righteous.
Rather a believer in Christ can keep the law, because he/she has been justified and has the roghteousness of Christ IMPUTED to them.
Oh one more thing,
The English word KEEP, in the Greek does not necessarily mean to Obey.
John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
