Hello everyone!! :waving:

I'd like to ask your opinions on tithing.

Does it have to go to a church?

Can you donate to a charity?

What about if you know someone that's in financial need, can you give your tithe to them?

And I'd just like to know your thoughts about it, in general.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!! Lol!!

Dear Sister Jude,

I thank you for your apology and accept it graciously. I honestly did not perceive any insult from youand just counted it as being passionate. I am a very thick skinned person.

Please accept heart felt apology as well as I had no intentions of causing any injury to you.

Love in Christ,

Walter

PS: one day you may learn to like me too.;-)

Well it seems like I'm a bit behind the ball on this one, but I belive that tithing, while an excellent idea (please understand I'm NOT knocking tithing - the Bible is explicitly clear that those who tithe regularly will be blessed) is NOT required under the new covenant.

It was a commandment under the Law, however Jesus abolished the Law with his death on the cross and resurrection. Nowhere under the New Covenant are we commanded to tithe...again, I'm NOT saying you shouldn't, or that it's not a good idea...I'm simply saying we are no longer required to.
