The reason why that Baptist preacher understood that we don't deserve multiple rewards in heaven is because HE KNOWS his Bible and you don't! The Bible only speaks of a singular reward and that is eternal life in heaven and we do not even deserve that! Our Eternal life is really a GIFT and that is reward enough!

Nothing could be further from the truth in the Scripture you gave Cupcake about "different degrees" in rewards in heaven someday.
No wonder Richard the false teacher has not posted over top of what you said here 5 days ago!!! He agrees with you and that right there should make you reconsider what you try to state!
Lets look at those verses.
Daniel 12:3 (KJV) "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."
1 Corinthians 3:14,15 (KJV) 14. "If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward."
15. "If any man's work (and its reward) shall be burned, he shall suffer loss (of reward): but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."
So what have we learned here by these verses Cupcake? That "wise shall shine" and that wise person turns "many to righteousness" by his/her witness! Those verses you posted saying nothing of many rewards in heaven! Richard is wrong about "countless rewards in heaven" in his legalistic teaching of earning our way to heaven by keeping ONLY rewards for our motives!
And if any of mankind's work and its reward be burned or destroyed here on earth, then the reward is in heaven of eternal life! What other reward is there and WHAT does Richard want that eternal life is NOT good ENOUGH for him??? I dont find any ATTA boy or girl buttons being handed out in heaven, for Saints to put on their robes.
Bottom line is NONE of the verses you gave have anything to do with "countless rewards in heaven" as Richard preaches, nor "different degrees" as you say because we can find no evidence of that in the verses you provided.
So effectively Richard the false teacher teaches righteousness by works for " "countless rewards" instead of grace by FAITH and heaven is the only reward we need! Right?
