I've mentioned several times that you called me a jackass and you are just now addressing it. Thou shalt not lie.

More scriptures

Isa 26 vs 19 : Your dead shall live, together with my DEAD body they shall ( future tense) arise, Awke and sing you who dwell (where ?) in the dust; And the earth shall cast out the dead.

I Thes 4 vs 16 : For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an arch angel, and with the trumpet of God . And the DEAD in Christ will rise first.

VS 17 : Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

Comfort one another with these words.

And the scriptures just keep on coming, somebody stop me!

Hilltop,

Get your Bible and note tablet, pen or pencil, READ Matthew chapter one (1) for Bible study class 101 on Monday, and be ready for class:rocknroll:. :glow:

You have not provide any scriptures that say when saints died they don't go to heaven, to the contrary you have provided passages. So if saints don;t go to heaven when they died, and their spirit does not RETRUN back from whence it came, where does it go?

Yes, sweetheart, the BODY is asleep, this is how God refers to a physically or spiritually dead person as being ASLEEP either in Christ or in darkness when they died or even as lving. You are either ALIVE IN CHRIST AS A BELIEVER, OR DEAD TO SINS AS AN UNBELIEVER.

Dead physically buried in the ground Until Jesus speaks life upon His return, and those who are dead or asleep in Christ will get up from the grave and go be forever with the Lord. Those who are physically dead or asleep and are not in Christ will go to hell.

Please READ First and Second Thessalonians both books.

Be ready for class on Monday!:rocknroll:

Hilltop explain those scripture you posted. What do they mean?

I get so tired of people posting scripture and not beng able to exlain what they mean. You post half a passage and think this supports you opinions that saints dont go to heaven when they die. YET, you are not able to tell us where they do go when they die. C/mon Hilltop, you can do better than this if you are reading the word of God's truth. What is the hope of glory?

Hilltop, did you READ 2 Corinthians chapters 4 and chapter 5? If so, please exlain what Paul is speaking about in these two chapters..

Also, what did Paul mean in Philippians chapter one when he said, he was hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ which is far better, or to continue to live and be with the people?

What was he speaking about going to be with Chirst here in this passage? Where was the Chirst that he wanted to go be with Him? Was Christ down at the corner store or at the mall. So what was Paul speaking about Phillippians chapter one .

Hilltop,

I never called you a jackass, however I did refer to Balaam's donkey, which by the way, appears to exercise more sense than you.

If I remember correctly; you picked a fight with me and got your feelings hurt. Dont pick a fight if you can't take a punch.

I apologize for hurting your feelings.

In II Cor chpt 4 and 5 Paul says he would rather be with Jesus having his new spiritual body than being in his present physical body.

II Cor 5 vs 8 ;

We are confident , yes well pleased rather to be absent from the body AND to be with the Lord.

I mentioned this scripture from the gitgo because that's all anyone ever comes up with.

In Phillipians Paul said, 1 vs 24 : Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. Paul would rather die which is to have ones next conscious thought being in the presence of Jesus, but he had more work to do. Death is sleep. One doesn't notice time when they are sleeping. It flys by. One lays their head on a pillow and the next thought is the alarm clock is ringing. So it is with death, when you die the very next thought will be the trumpet is sounding and Jesus with the voice of an arch angel will raise us from the dead.

Acts 2 VS 29 : Men and brethryn, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch david, that he is both dead and buried and his tomb is with us to this today.

VS 32 : This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.

VS 33 : Therefore being exalteed to the right hand of God

VS 34 : For David did not ascend into the heavens

Did you catch that? David did not ascend into the heavens.

Hebrews 11 VS 4 : By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was more righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he BEING DEAD still speaks.

Being dead. He's dead. He died. His actions however still speak. That's figurative meaning it is an example for future generatins.
